What a joke they made him wait an extra year.  These genius "experts" didn't vote him in last year but he is in the HOF now.

The main knock on him is that he was brittle and only ran 11 times but watch all these morons drool over a horse like Rachel Alexandra in a couple years.  He had injury issues but he did race over a total of almost four seasons.   GZ was a G1/G2 winner at five different distances.  Four Beyers over 120 to include a 128 and a 124 in the BC Classic (which he ran in 1:59 and treated a very strong field like a bunch of chumps).  Came off a seven month layoff and crushed in the Met Mile in a hand ride with a 123 Beyer.  They made him wait a year to get in the HOF?

I cashed a decent sized bet on this horse Wise Dan back over the Thanksgiving weekend in the G1 Clark at CD.  Yesterday he just set the track record at Keeneland for 9F.  Got a 117 Beyer.  This guy is improving and that was off a layoff yesterday.  I didn't even know he was running and wasn't paying attention this weekend (would not have bet at those odds anyways).  Nice to see an older fella run some big numbers.  Hopefully he stays sound and gives us a nice year.

One of my favorite horses ever, a true pleasure to watch. I was lucky enough to see him in person when he romped in the Met Mile. His turn of foot was outrageous.

GHOSTZAPPER

This was my favorite race.  I know he won bigger ones,  but this showed his versatility.  These were some real deal sprinters he beat too.

Yeah that was a scorcher.  Durkin's eyes probably damn near popped out of his head.

I am going to bump this thread every time someone declares a certain horse to be the greatest thing since sliced bread.  it tends to happen this year about 7:30 PM on May 5th there will be proclamations that someone is going to win the TC, Travers, Jockey Club Gold Cup, and what the hell why not the Classic as well.  Toss in next year's Dubai World Cup and Big Cap for fun.

How about this one?

6F in 1:08.3 carried way out wide around the turn.  mile in 33.1 and 9F in 1:46.3.  come on!!!  that is not normal.  clean trip that day not so far off the rail and he smashes the world record for 9F on dirt.
