Mark Belling's Preakness Picks

I wasn't going to post this guys picks this year but 1pumpchump asked for them and lo and behold Belling nails the Derby pretty much by picking the top 2 and 3 of the top 4.   Bellings Derby Picks (last page for picks)    

I wonder if 1pumpchump won anything?   

Anyway since he nailed the Derby here's his picks for the Preakness.   Bellings Preakness Picks     

Tried to paste his comment about Baffort telling Victor to get him used to traffic.

The thing about Belling is that he's got connections in this game.   He's part owned many horses with Team Valor International, the owner of Animal Kingdom.   I'm sure he talks to Barry Irwin (owner of Team Valor) and Graham Motion (trainer of Animal Kingdom and other Team Valor horses) on a regular basis.  Belling part owns Crimson China another horse owned by Team Valor.

So this isn't just Joe Schmoe on the street (me) making these picks.   This guy might have information that none of us have.   And he mentions that he's got his own clockers at Churchill so that shows you how much he's into horse racing.   He's obsessed with it and talks about it just about every day on his show.

I'm not saying he's going to nail the Preakness like he did the Derby though.   Just saying you could do a lot worse than playing Belling's picks.

He only does these writeups ,that he puts on his site, four times a year.  The three Triple Crown races and The Breeders Cup.   Sometimes he puts some other picks for other races in there and sometimes he doesn't.    Looks like he didn't put any extra picks in there this time.

BELLING CHANGED HIS PICKS SLIGHTLY !!!!!

He moved Dialed In down to his 4th selection and he moved Sway Away up to his 2nd choice.    His top choice is still Animal Kingdom and his 3rd choice is still Midnight Interlude.    Everything else stayed the same.

So, not so good for Belling this time.   

Sway Away and Midnight Interlude were horrible picks.   12th and 13th out of 14 horses.    CHART

I believe he's done very well in the Belmont in past years though.   I'll post them.
