#1 Posted: 5/4/2009 5:57:23 PM was anyone at west palm beach dog track this afternnon ? race #13 photo finish for win, between the 3 and the 7 dog
photo clearly showed the 3 dog on the outside with muzzle on the line , the 7 dog on the inside , muzzle a nose from the line
they put the 7 dog up as the winner
i have no bias , just handicapping the pick 3 on the comp , with no money bet on the race , i had actually picked both of these dogs ,
in the pick three so if i had real money on it wouldnt have made a difference they were both 6 to 1 , and i had both dogs
called the racing commision in florida they will be investigating , ive seen thousands of photos in my years , this one wasnt close , was the judge drunk or are my eyes playing tricks on me as someone who does bet this track , i like to see things on the up and up
curious if anyone was at the track today

#2 Posted: 5/4/2009 6:42:02 PM I wasn't there today, but I love the West Palm Beach Kennel Club. My sister used to live 15 mins from there, I still go down there to my dad's timeshare on Singer Island every March to see the Cardinals in Spring Training in Jupiter and ALWAYs go to the WPBKC. |

#4 Posted: 5/5/2009 1:30:38 PM I watched a replay of this race on the web. It didn't have a photo though. To be honest with you, I thought the 7 dog hung on. The dog on the inside. I didn't think the 3 dog got there in time. It was very close though. And that's just eyeballing it on the replay. No photo.

#8 Posted: 5/9/2009 11:53:54 AM here is the link for the replay , havent heard back from the investergator , here is the link for replay with no photo , as you know because of the angle sometimes watching it live and on replay , it looks like the inside dog won , but photo shows that the outside actually won ,
here it does look like the 7 dog maybe just hung on , like i said before , i never questioned the race till i saw the photo , i saw the 7 with head down not touching the line , and the 3 dog flying threw the air with head up ,, the key to my mind was the 7 dog muzzle was not touching the finish line , and i could clearly see a space
lol i probably wrong since they dont blow photos , i still want to see the photo , to prove myself wrong

#12 Posted: 5/9/2009 7:49:22 PM its really hard to stop it at the finish line its at 38 + second not quite 39 , its not frame by frame but i did get it a few times ,and i saw what i saw quickly when they showed the photo ....
unfortunatly when i tryed making a print it came up blank ,........i have stoped it just before the finish and the 3 and 7 was even , as we see the 3 is flying and pases the 7 after the line ,
but if someone has the capabilty to print photo at line like to see it , ....otherwise i guess , we will have to wait for official photo .......i glad i didnt have any money on it , otherwise it would really drive me nuts |

#13 Posted: 5/9/2009 8:55:10 PM i found the perfect frame , but not able to save picture , its almost at 39 ,
but the key is that there are three lights at the finish line , that are triggered by the dogs , i stoped it perfectly , the top yellow light has come on but the other two are not on yet , thats the best shot at the finish line the pictures is taken at that point , it shows the 3 dog on the outside nipped the 7
.......just like i saw when i did see the photo , cant wait to see official photo |

#14 Posted: 5/9/2009 9:08:01 PM i think im wrong about the lights they all look on now , try stoping it at the point where their muzzle is paralel to the lights , thats the line ,,,,,,,,if you can stop it at that precise moment , it looks exactly like what i saw when they put up the photo |

#17 Posted: 5/22/2009 9:56:33 PM i think so too , salvero , the muzzle on the three dog is not visable ,but knowing how the muzzles extend from the dogs nose , you can assume the 3 dogs was touching the finish line , the think is you can positively see the 7 dogs not touching the line
but you can clearly see the 7 dog was not touching the line , i think the judge blew it , i havent talked to the investagator to see what his take on the photo was ,
but i must say they didnt try to cover anything up , they sent me a photo , then they mailed me a cd of the photo , nothing to gain here the tickets were cashed on the 7 and thrown away on the 3 dog , no way to correct this , just bad publicity , what gain to come out and say this ? ,none really
im sure they either replaced the judge , or are taking their time with looking at photos
i will ask the gentleman from the state of florida buisness and professional regulations , who looked into this , and sent me the photo , what his take on this was , when i first contacted him he told me he would tell me what he saw , he has followed threw on sending me the CD , but no response as of yet what he thought after he saw the photo

#18 Posted: 5/22/2009 11:31:07 PM not knocking YOU
mysticrich, (you say) that you can positively see the 7 dogs not touching the line and (you say) you can clearly see the 7 dog was not touching the line, that might be true,
look at it again, maybe the white muzzle blended in?
But the kicker IS believe it or not 3 is NOT touching the line at ALL, way shorter than the 7
It’s the feet of the 7 in FRONT of 3’s nose,
7 Won

i disagree i see the 7 dogs head down and muzzle not touching the line , i owned raced and train dogs years ago , put lots of racing muzzles on them , i know what you are seeing on the three dog, is the image of the muzzle missing , if you watch the replays look for both dogs shadow , you will see the the three dog at the finish is ahead

#21 Posted: 5/23/2009 1:01:14 AM also master po forget about the feet of the 7
photos are determined by the muzzle of the dog , i hear what your saying about the white blending in . and thats what happened with the 3 dog , i know what the extension of what the muzzle should be on the three , thats whats being blended in white , and we are not seeing , i know the extension of the muzzle we should be seeing , with the 3 dogs head flying up |

oh, now i know the meaning of when they say give me $20 on the NOSE
(i disagree i see the 7 dogs head down and muzzle not touching the line) this could be true
i still think the 3 is way short, just look at the photo from the link you gave, put your or anybodys else's(in forum) nose on the line and sit back in chair

#25 Posted: 5/23/2009 6:29:03 PM to say this photo is ambigious is an understatement , i dont understand why we dont have better contrast in this photo finish, to see the muzzles , , but you have to agree its the 3 dogs muzzle that is missing ,i tryed blowing the photo up between 300% and 400% what becomes clearer is the space between the finish line and the 7 dogs muzzle , you can see a mass of black or white on where the 3 dogs muzzle should be and this is touching the line and beyond
ps ,,,po you know that the 7 dogs legs are irrelevant , lol
i wish we could see the shadow of the 3 dog
im glad i didnt have money on the race , because its driving me crazy enough without having anything on it , lol |
