At most they were getting 5, so I'm not sure how screwed they were.  Oddly, I think Georgia Tech and Virginia would be more dangerous tourney teams than a couple of the ones closer to bubble.  Weird year.  I thought VPI should have gotten a bid, but didn't they they would.

The fourth best team in the ACC is Va Tech 19-13 only 6 games over .500 with one win against a tourney team in Miami Fl and that was in the conference tourney..The ACC is top heavy with 2 really good teams in Duke and UNC and a very good team at times in Clemson...

You like to argue that the Big East teams are inflated by getting to play those bottom teams in the conference.  But you have to take that into account when you want to do the ACC-Big East comparison....Of those 11 wins 6 were against the bottom 4 of the Big East.

This is what happens when you have affiliations in the selection committee.  The Big East got screwed last year without a rep.

Obviously peopel who think the ACC got screwed, think Va Tech got screwed.
With one win against the top 50 and bad losses against Richmond, Old Dominion, and Penn State..it's really hard to argue that they had a profile worth getting in.
Just because they played UNC tough yesterday, people want them in.
Fct is, they did play good teams..and lost them all, before Saturday's win vs. Miami. It can't be enough to get in, to play teams close.

VA Tech sucks! They play one game within two points and everyone has them in. THey beat one team in the top 50. They lost to Richmond and ODU.
