On a good run so far in 2008 for college hoops. The plan remains the same by being careful on road chalk and finding a few good plays on my own and then following the proven 60% winners like Stuckey and Helmut to make the season even more profitable. I'm on a nice 5-0 run thus far, but the law of betting averages could sneak up at anytime. I'll most likely add some plays to this as the day goes on, but here's what I'm starting with.
Pepperdine +29 @ Memphis: I'm just not the biggest Memphis fan. They are always athletic, but I've just seen too many games where they let weaker opponents hang around and don't put them away like they should. I love the fact that they blew out Siena the other day to get this line a few points higher than maybe the 25 or 26 it should have been at. You have a lot of local California players on this Pepperdine team that were use to winning at the high school level so they don't buy into being losers even if they are. I like the fact they stayed within 20 to a good BYU team in Provo and that they beat Northern Arizona in Flagstaff. I'm looking for a little bit of a let down from Memphis today and always remember Saturday morning games and I imagine it being even tougher to get up for when you like the National spotlight and the game isn't on the major networks.

I Play 4 Keeps - Dude, your avatar is teh ghey....
LMAO, have some respect for Lucas Barton and the power glove. If you think you can beat this kid in Mario Brothers 3 you are mistaken my friend. If you have no idea what I'm talking about you should have watched the movie the wizard when you were a kid.
Adding:
Niagra -1.5 @ Manhattan: I'm taking Niagra in this one as they've shown an ability to win on the road lately against decent teams like St. Johns and Santa Clara. Taking a road trip across country to Santa Clara and grabbing a win is always demonstrating an ability to focus as far as I'm concerned. Enter a league play game against an opponent they've had success with beating at home in recent years and the fact that Manhattan hasn't played anybody yet this year. Their entire schedule has been made up of sub .500 teams for the most part yet they still only sport a 7-5 record. Niagra is 9-2 ATS on the year while Manhattan is a pathetic 2-6. Niagra looks to improve to 4-0 in conference play to establish themselves as a leader of the pack.

Yeah, that was solid! Roby had a meltdown at just the right time for us.
I'm just playing those 2 for now along with my Stuckey and Helmut plays. I'll be keeping my eye on UCLA, USC and TCU and will probably add some plays later. Good luck everyone.

Memphis played well and really put it on them late, which shocked me. Especially with Doneal mack hitting 5 of his 7 three's in a 2:00 span with under 4 minutes to go. Bummer as I thought Pepperdine would cover that one for us.

UCLA pk 2nd half: UCLA focuses on 2nd half finishes and hasn't lost a 2nd half yet this year. I'm going to trust them and hope that trend continues tonight. I ran out to see a movie with the wife otherwise I would have been on this game from the start. I should have done it before I left.

I really like USC +7.5, but I'm going to hold myself in check and watch the 1st half. Both of these teams need this one bad. Should be a close game, but I feel like Stanford guards played above their heads last night. If they had any help for Taj down low I wouldn't flinch on this one.
