Following North Carolina's thrilling 75-73 win over Kentucky, the Tar Heels drew the early money for their Final Four matchup against Oregon.
BookMaker.eu opened UNC as a 4-point favorite and quickly moved to 4.5 based on early betting action. Most books were dealing 4.5, and the spread could be found as high as 5 at William Hill in Nevada.
The total is 150.
BookMaker spokesman Scott Cooley said his book expects heavy public action on both No. 1 seeds in Phoenix: UNC and Gonzaga.
"We'll be begging for Oregon money from that sector of the gaming community," he said. "The sharps haven't been overly in love with the Ducks throughout the tournament, and it's unlikely they’ll get behind them here at this number, which could climb."
Oregon advanced with a surprisingly easy 74-60 win over top-seeded Kansas in the Midwest Regional.
The Ducks are 2-1-1 against the spread in the NCAA Tournament after entering the Big Dance on a 2-4 ATS skid.
The Tar Heels also are 2-1-1 against the spread in the NCAA Tournament, earning a push at -2 on Sunday. Because they always draw high totals, the Under is 20-14-1 in Tar Heels' games this season.
