Butler +7 , this overrated UNC squad will be lucky if they get by this team.

I think UNC wins, but 7 points is a lot considering that Butler loves to keep games close.

Also I take solace in the fact that a team hasn't beat them by 10 points or more since 3/10/16.

Don't watch a lot of Butler out here on the West Coast, but I feel really confident taking Butler +15 or +17 in an 8pt or 10 pt teaser.

you will see how overrated this team is this Friday. This is not the same UNC team of last couple of years, Butler too physical for them, I honestly feel Butler moves on but will take the points.

Which Butler team? The Butler that beat over rated Villanova Twice? Or will it be the Butler that lost 5 times as -7 point favorites this year: Indiana state, St. John's, Georgetown, Creighton, and Seton Hall?

I agree UNC is no powerhouse and -7 is a lot for them to chew. I am not convinced this is a good bet for either side.

Just my feeling but I hope you win!

It's not even about overrated underrated. It's the fact that Butler is hard nosed. They play defense, they rebound, they win ugly, there very physical. The acc and unc have struggled against teams that are physical. Teams that are physical and play defense have knocked out most of the acc teams this tourney, Michigan being the exception, they are finesse but managed to take out Louisville because there hot. Also though Butler is a very very, I mean very streaky shooting team. They have been knocking down threes and making shots this tourney, if that continues they will cover the 7 and have a chance straight up. If they aren't knocking down shots like they have of late unc will win by 10-12. Unc will put up points regardless. If Butler shoots everything else will be fine.

This team is not the same UNC team we've seen in previous tournaments. They don't play with heart and they don't play together. Down the stretch where they are usually very good they become stagnant and make mental mistakes. Take a look at their last game and there game against duke a few weeks ago. The talent is there. The will isn't. They definitely don't make it to the final 4 and I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make it out of the next round.

I agree with you 100%, UNC struggles against a team that can slow the game down and be physical. Take a look at Virginia game, Duke , GT, Miami even Indiana were the tougher teams that day. Carolina is not a great team away from home, Butler doesn't turn the the ball over, Carolina wont be able to run much.  This is a neutral field game, 7 points is too much , this will come down to the final minute.

Classic overreaction to what you saw recently. This unc team actually is hungrier than ever and their goal since the end of last year was to get back to the title game and finish the deal. Public perception is that this butler team is really good on defense but if you look at kenpom they are 63rd in def efficiency Carolina is 19th in a way better conference. If butler can't dictate the pace and keep this game in the 60s (which most teams have failed to do to Carolina) they will not come close to winning.

Butler is actually 43rd in defensive efficiency and they have had some impressive victories including twice against Villanova where they held one of the most offensively efficient teams to 58 and 66 points respectively. So I think Butler has proven it's capable of hanging with the best. It is true that UNC has struggled against better defensive teams, Clemson took them to OT, we forgot to mention. But those struggles came solely on the road. At home for instance they handled Virginia and Duke. This is a neutral game and that isn't a road game.

43rd I meant to write that was a typo. I hear ya good points I just think this particular matchup is good for the Tar Heels

This game is really hard, I'm staying away. When UNC is on their game, they are the best in the country.
