Virginia is not the best team left. They are vulnerable to high octane offense which Iowa State has. This game is also being played in Chicago and there will be more Iowa State fans than Virginia fans in house. Cyclones are hot and will keep it close. I am expecting a close game with Iowa State covering the spread.
Indiana against UNC. Hoosiers historically have the Tarheels numbers. UNC is playing their best basketball right now and there is no doubt. The last two wins came against subpar teams at basically home court. Now they have to play away from Carolina and play against a very talented Indiana team who knocked off Kentucky. Both teams will go on mini runs back and forth and whoever makes the last run will win. I will gladly take the handicap points in this case.

After reading your post...aka VA... I reviewed the games VA lost....NOT one from a team running them off the court....with a high TEMPO game. VA is the best team left in their bracket and possibly the best left in the Tourney.... VA has 2 of the best "statistically based players in D1 = Brogden #1 and Gill #10.
VA holds the ball 20 seconds on average one of the most deliberate and frustrating teams in the country#351 of ??, patiently going thru their offense till they get a good shot...Iowa st shoots in 15 seconds...my guess VA is play defense longer than that....
Iowa St "D" is only 3 points better than the average team in the country...good enough in the BIG 12 where Offensive inefficiency is held in highest regard.... While Va isn't the BEST defensive team left, they are 12 better than the average team....this makes them 9 better..so Iowa St needs to make that up...
It looks like a long night for Iowa St to me....BUT VA may not play to their numbers like last game...anything could happen....But I am on VA....
the Hoosiers are to inconsistent for my money.... I love they way they shoot.....I take them at home as often as I can...but on the road..or .Nuetral floor NEVER. Too many UNexplainable losses. ( Mich, Penn St, Wake and UNLV ) Ok Played got it from KY...but then did you have KY in your Bracket, beating NC then on to the Championship? Not many of the guys I have talked with had them...most were MIch St (65%) or Kansas (25%) I try not to get all gassed about a 1 win in the rear view mirror. unless the statistics suggest they over achieved 2-3 games in a row.

Great analysis. Go with the obvious!
Virginia does not blow away teams in competitive games. Iowa State has plenty of fire power to keep up with the Cavs on points.
UNC got to play against much weaker opponents in the first two rounds. Indiana matches very well with UNC and should be a PK game.
