7-2 yesterday that helped me turn around a nasty slide. I needed it. Anyway on to today and I have one so far.
SMU -2.5: SMU is the play today IMO even though the game is in CT. It seems to me a lot of teams this past week with revenge angles have been covering. I was on UConn two weeks ago when then beat SMU at home but now the revenge angle is in SMU's court. Looking at the boxscores from the past few games it looks like UConn needs Hamilton and Purvis to score. But their production started going south yesterday vs. Tulsa so there is a possibility a 4th game in 4 days will wear down UConn. Boatwright keeps cruising along and he will get his pts today but maybe not so much his teammates. Still, in the back of my mind you have the defending national champ playing in their backyard one win away from a chance to go to the NCAA tourney again so this is a 1 unit play at best. And UConn may start this game high with adrenaline but I think SMU will pull away in the 2nd half. SMU -2.5 for the game and a possible play on SMU 2nd half if the opportunity presents itself.

Jrock: exactly that's what I'm thinking for this game...pure adrenaline is pushing UCONN to win every game at this point....the fact that they are basically playing at home and the need for them to win is hard to go against them......SMU is the better team but hard to cap: heart and determination.....still undecided and crunching numbers....

Kentucky played well vs. Florida Friday. When those two have gotten together the past few years there has not been much of a need for external motivation. And overall the past couple of weeks Ky has played well as evidenced by their 6-1-2 record ATS last 9 games. This is a huge deal as Kentucky is almost always overpriced but yet they have covered anyway lately. Yesterday though, and even though Ky covered, there were times that Ky played out of control or not very smart. Coach Cal seemed like he was jerking players off the court left and right for stupid crap. Especially Karl Towns. He jerked him off the court 3 or 4 times and I have never seen him so mad at KT. I think it goes back to Ky gets motivated by playing good teams or teams they have something to prove against. And Auburn provided neither. Still it's not a good way to build momentum heading into the SEC Championship game.
Arkansas, OTOH, played pretty darn well as a team against Georgia even though Georgia, for the most part, turned it into a half-court grind. An announcer said late in the game Arkansas looks like the one that wants to face Ky the most. I think it was Nessler that said it not Vitale. It hit me right there that that was the angle I missed in picking GA yesterday and not Ark. Georgia has already lost twice to Ky this year. They were also beat up a bit. Gaines didn't play and Juwan Parker was obviously not at 100% and only played 6 min. Mark Fox was obviously looking ahead to being as full strength as possible for their 1st round NCAA game.
Arkansas, OTOH, played @ Ky once this season and lost by 13. And UK played pretty darn well that game. Today, UK will face an Arkansas team wanting a piece of Ky on a neutral court. LOL....but Nashville will be full of Ky fans anyway so "neutral" is just a formality....Catville is what they call it. Ky won the last time by 13. Today, S&O has Ky at a -13 fav, KP has Ky at a -13 fav, and the line is Ky at -13. Why is the line right on point when Ky has 6-1-2 record ATS lately? This line should be higher IMO to offset Ky's recent ATS record but it's not. So obviously linesmakers are comfortable with this line. Consensus I have seen so far is in Ky's favor which is not normally a good thing either. It's pretty easy to see IMO the play today is taking the points with the Razors. The bait has been set for Ky betting public IMO. I do not bet against my team so I will have to sit this one out, but I cannot recommend a play on the Cats today. Furthermore, and I will be honest, I am not sure we even win this one. Arkansas has won 4 out of the last 6 meetings so do not expect them to be intimidated at all. They will most likely be playing out of their arses today. UK better bring their best today or this is where all the 40-0 talk may come crashing to a halt.

Georgia Southern +6.5: I've just seen so many teams the past few days with revenge angles not only cover but win outright. And Ga. Southern has a pretty good revenge angle going on for today.
Adding some Pro Hoops on a Hunch. The same hunch that won with Golden State and Washington last night.
