After three months of posting/playing I realize my plays are of no value to you or myself. It was a nice experiment and as I suspected I can't work 2 fulltime jobs. I love to cook so that's that. I like to play to so I will continue to follow some of you guys. Best of luck to all

I wouldn't give up completely Kaos. It takes a lot of trial and error to get to a point where you can beat the books consistently, and even then it gets real tough and humbling. It's not easy as was mentioned above, but it's fun and a great hobby if done responsibly.
If its eating up way too much of your time and negatively effecting your life then by all means maybe hang it up. But assuming you bet responsibly, and you can get set aside a half hr or hour each day to get in the lab, why not keep learning on the job? If nothing else, keep tracking your wagers that you would make, without putting money on them or posting them. Just to stay engaged with it. If you love the hobby, it takes time to get a feel, and you wont get better by just tailing people. It's not like you did completely horrible this year. .500 season is something to build on
Hope to see you give it another crack in the future Chef

Don't be discouraged. When I have a string of losses, I try to revisit those wagers and identify what areas I didn't look close enough at, and watch more basketball
