Miami/Florida
According to Kenpom, the biggest statistical disadvantage between the two I noticed is that both teams fall towards the bottom in adjusted tempo. (306/337 out of 351 teams) This means that both these teams play at a very slow pace. Logically speaking, slow pace, means less shots, meaning less points. With that said, both teams rank within the top 50 in adjusted offense, and both teams also rank in the top 50 of adjusted defense, (Florida's D is ranked 4th out of all the teams ) So yes, both teams can clearly score, but, both teams can also play some really good defense. Total is currently at 126.5. Strictly based on numbers, i believe it stays under.
Louisiana Tech -5 over Temple
According to the numbers, LT is better on paper (numbers never lie, right?). The three biggest categories, Adj O (T141-L48), Adj D (T100-L72), and Tempo, being the biggest difference out of all of them (T272-L25) LT outweighs temple with more possessions against an average D1 team Defense.
The owls ranked 100th out of 351 on defense, so we will give them above average on defense, vs LT's 25th ranked tempo.
As for LT, they ranked 72nd in defense (above average), with the owls tempo ranked Well below average at 272nd. To me, that is the huge difference..
We will see how these "stats" play out on the court.
1unit flat bet for each. Goodluck to all!
