Am a member of both the Texas Tech Rivals and Scout sites, give a ton of money to the school and am very very involved with the university and our football and basketball programs. Tonight we have a drive to break a student attendance record and we anticipate 10,000 students to be in attendance. The gates opened for students at 4 pm and they have been getting free food and entry into $100,000 worth of prize giveaways for being in attendance.
The USA (United Spirit Arena) is going to be rocking tonight, with one of the loudest crowds ever which should be almost at full capacity of 15,000+ people. KSU has been awful on the road, with their only true road win this season being against a terrible TCU team who shouldn't even be playing Big 12 basketball.
As far as my Red Raiders go, we had our let down game this Saturday against Oklahoma State after our heartbreaking loss to Kansas, and Tubby Smith was less than happy about our lackadaisical style of play. The team had the message hammered home to them that not showing up a la the OSU game is not an option, and there was a lot of running done when the plane landed from Stillwater. This is a team that fully believes in their ability to make the NIT, but to do this, we must be at least .500 after the Big 12 tournament, in which case given the Big 12's strength we are all but guaranteed an NIT berth. This team will give 110% tonight, Tubby Smith is a better coach than Bruce Webber, and their roster unlike Kansas or OSU is not more talented than ours. I fully expect us to beat them tonight, and will have a hefty play on Texas Tech as a pick 'em at -110. I rarely post on here but this is an absolutely can't miss pick. I believe we beat KSU tonight and then beat UT to end the season at home, but first the USA will be absolutely rocking tonight and we get the job done in Lubbock. Trust me this team is winning tonight.

Tubby Smith has really gained the following of Red Raider nation. Our basketball attendance like our program had been an absolute dumpster fire until he took over this year. He went to our Student Union Building 2 months ago and bought every student there a free lunch and told them to come to our game against Baylor and for the first time in 5 years the students bought in and we beat Baylor. This university has been dying to have winning basketball again, and this roster of guys have never had a true home court advantage due to the mass coaching turnover and blowout losses. We never lacked the talent, but rather lacked a true X's and O's coach who could build confidence in them. Tubby has done that, and apart from the let down in Stillwater which many Red Raiders saw coming after the KU heartbreak, this team fully feels like they are postseason worthy and will come out blazing. KSU is walking into a buzz saw tonight.

You forgot to add your team is a bunch of front runners and that when it goes bad it goes really bad. I fell for your info. Though luck, but there's a reason their record is what it is. I blame myself for listening

SOrry guys. Never saw this epic collapse coming. Worst part is Tolbert keeps grinning after singlehandedly giving them the game on a silver platter. Again sorry to everyone who tailed, it's called gambling for a reason and tonight it didn't play out like I thought. BOL.

This is the part where I would say something to make fun of tech considering I'm an A&M grad (twin brother went to tech)...but man, that was brutal. Tough loss man.
