I had no $$$ on the game and, honestly, no real rooting interest, but I thought they blew the whistle and called that held ball awfuly quickly in the last few seconds of the Louisville game.
And I've seen other times this year it seems like they almost call it instantaneously as soon as the second guy touches the ball. I was watching my Hokies get their ass kicked by Duke and our guy went up towards the basket and Plumlee basically slapped the ball and the instant his hand touched the ball they called it a held ball and gave the ball to Duke.
Doesn't there have to be more to call it a held ball than just a second hand TOUCHING the ball instantaneously? Shouldn't there be something to indicate that the second player has gained some semblance of actual control of the ball?
