#1 Posted: 2/2/2013 11:11:45 PM Is he serious? Total classless move takes a dunk with .04 seconds left up by 8 and just cost me a push on multiple teasers for mich + 10 ... unbelievable |

Agreed. I never understood being happy when someone talks about getting hosed on a play like that? If anything else I feel like I want to say "my condolences, I have been there and I know how terrible that feels"

You just stick to calling games winners prematurely with time still on the clock....only to lose. And let other people do what they want |

#16 Posted: 2/2/2013 11:54:07 PM I rarely tease but wanted a litle extra protection in case free throws would decide the spread... and IU made what 15 in a row? Not to mention that bogus and 1 call after the player traveled and/or it should have been a jump ball. After that all momentum was killed. And great advice ariana u ho. If i didnt tease then it would have lost. And Fuk vitale for calling this clown a mini-Jordan , this old fart needs to be canned. |

#17 Posted: 2/3/2013 12:05:01 AM I'm not trying to start an argument here (even though he won), but in Ariana's defense, YOU NEVER BUY POINTS IN BASKETBALL.
It doesn't matter whether it's "the hook" or only on games near 7 or only low spreads....you don't buy points in basketball PERIOD. You LOSE more money paying the added juice on ALL THE BETS THAT DIDN'T MATTER WHETHER YOU BOUGHT POINTS OR NOT.
Secondly, if you are buying points on a game, why the heck are you even betting on the game in the first place? IT IS A WEAK PLAY IF YOU THINK THOSE FEW POINTS THAT YOU BOUGHT ARE GOING TO CHANGE THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME.
I DID STATISTICAL ANALYSIS ON POINT BUYING AND IT IS A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY.

no one plays all games in a day. So if you play 2 games and tease it to win, your logic if fucked.

"no one plays all games in a day"?....good call Sherlock.
Do you understand how probabilities are figured out? You take a sample size of games and run the stats.
Where did I say people bet every game? It's a matter of figuring out what buying points gets you for your money.
By saying that "no one plays all games in a day", that must mean that YOU can PICK a HIGHER PERCENTAGE than the probabilities of my 478 game sample size.
By all means, I'd love to start a new thread of your picks where buying 3 points will give you a push instead of a loss or a win instead of a push.
I'll do all the stats and add the 3 points to your picks.
According to my stats, you will get (if rounded up for YOUR pleasure) make 2 (1.88%) losses to pushes and get more 11 (10.67%) wins out of 100 picks.
Buying 3 points in basketball and paying,...what? -195 for the 3 points?? will affect 12.55% games on average.
...WHILE PAYING MORE JUICE ON LOSSES OR WINNING LESS MONEY ON WINS FOR THE REST OF THE 87.45% OF THE GAMES WHERE THE 3 POINTS DIDN'T MATTER.
HERE IS THE REAL FACT: YOU WOULD HAVE TO PICK AROUND 3 TIMES MORE GAMES WHERE THE 3 POINTS MATTERED THAN THE 12.55% AVERAGE JUST TO MAKE MONEY.....OTHERWISE YOU ARE LOSING MONEY.
I RE-ASK THE CHALLENGE:
WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO PICK 100 GAMES WHERE I WILL GIVE YOU 3 POINTS AND SEE IF YOU CAN BEAT THE AVERAGE OF 12.55% WHERE THE 3 POINTS WILL MATTER?????

#22 Posted: 2/3/2013 1:06:43 AM Ironically enough I had Michigan +10.5 in a teaser with Baltimore +10.5 for 2 units. I had 2 units on INDY money line. I also had 1 unit on Victor O over 15.5 points. The dude had 9 points early on and then nothing. Had 12 points with 18 to go then nothing. They fouled him two times but refs swallowed whistle to allow Yogi to get fouled time and time again. Then the dunk went out as bling said with about half a second left and they waived it off. It should have counted and I would have been LUCKY AS HECK to hit all those plays. But was not meant to be. |

#24 Posted: 2/3/2013 1:26:21 AM Standard shine move. And TexasD can S my D, I hit 4/4 7 point teasers today for 245.00. And no, I won't take your 3 point bet. Because that's not the argument or point here. If someone had Michigan as part of a teaser, it wasn't a 3 point teaser they were worried about losing. You may have a point in regards to buying a point or two, but make sure you're arguing correctly, before asking more people to read your statistics. I've traded futures and options for years, and could give less of a darn when it comes to your tutoring. |
