Wichita State -- MAX Play??? Discuss

Wichita getting +1 at TN. Been looking at this line and can't make any sense of it. TN's D is solid, but see Wichita winning by 5+ here.

Leaning making my biggest play of the year, unless someone can talk me out of it. 

Lets discuss.

an unranked team playing at home laying points to a ranked team...dont know the percentages in college hoops, but in college football it has been a goldmine for a very long time.

That's the only thing I'm worried about. Wichita has more depth, better players and matches up well with Tenn in this game. Plus they are 22-3 in like the last years on the road. Give me the Shockers + the points.

I am a wsu season ticket holder. Going to be low scoring but wsu wins as they are not getting enough respect. 2 units down for me.

This is always an automatic play for me, combined with a couple other factors going into tonights matchup I have a rather large play on Tenn.

not only an unranked home team laying points to a ranked team, but the fact that it looks like 95% of the board is on wsu - good luck if you are playing the shockers tonight, you will need it for sure.

Help me understand this.  If the smart money is coming in on Tenn, why has Wichita State gone from getting 1.5 points to getting no points?

well that theory isnt necessarily true, wichita is only ranked in the AP not the coaches poll so they arent technically ranked

DONT TAKE WICH ST BIG its not a lock game by any means sure they may cover but I would be very conservative with my bet on this one betting against UT is basically betting that they will carry on a historically bad shooting streak 3 games. Big Orange D is well above average and coach Martin is no joke not to mention the 20000+ plus in attendance should play a factor that place gets real loud not even UConn could handle it last year. TN with the win.

Vegas certainly not giving them respect as an away team just yet but that should be expected early in the season. I grabbed pk not seeing this as a max play but I like my money on the shockas!

I agree with this completely.  I'm playing Wichita St. but just for an average play.  It's always a HUGE RED FLAG when you see a ranked team on the road and they don't open as a favorite.

That said, I like Wichita St, they still aren't getting a lot of respect.  Tennessee shoots poorly from the line and WS has some good senior leadership which gives them less of a disadvantage on the road.

Good luck on your plays.  Locked this in last night at a pick em myself.

EVERYONE can agree that the shockers are on a different level that the volunteers, but the lines are set for a reason - they always are.
