3-0 to start off the College Basketball Season.  I am not done looking at today's game, but one game is already jumping off the page.

Oakland -2.5 @ Louisiana Lafayette

LL returns just 4 players from last year's 16-16 team.  Oakland returns 4 starters!  Oakland has already played a game this year and shot lights out 60% from the floor and 6-11 from downtown.

Oakland is an experienced team, used to winning big games and knocking off big teams early.  I think they start their 7 game road trip off on the right foot tonight.

LL returns just 25 ppg from last year's team.  Has 6 freshman and 4 sophomores, and I just don't see them handling a tough Oakland team today.

LL starts one player over 6'5" and he's a true frosh.  Oakland starts only one player under 6'5" and he's a 6'4" redshirt junior point guard.

I don't know guys, nothing is certain in sports betting.  But I really like Oakland -2.5

Yeah Carlos, I'm not gonna play anything large that I only think is gonna cover by a point or two.

Nothing is given, but Oakland has the type of team that should pull away and win this by double digits.

Well, expect the young team to come out smoking in their home/season opener....... Hoping Oakland and some 3 point shooting take over down the stretch.

Oakland is the squarest of square plays today.  You don't think vegas would realize everyone would jump all over Oakland with 4 returning and many public showings last year against good teams?

I absolutely hammered LaFayette, I don't care what there team is.  Pure fade of the bait line here.

that is what everyone said about the denver and carolina game in NFL today. 85+% on denver and denver murdered carolina. what is your point? You cant just make bets off of what you are saying. Oakland is the better team, and has been a pretty good team the last few years. just saying.

42-37 half.

3 unit play Cajuns.

I agree with you in theory you can't bet just based on the lines but anytime you can't think of one reason to take the other side, you have to take the other side.

The Carolina example in the NFL is a prime example of a public dog.  I bet the real money on that game was 50/50.  I bet on this game its 90/10

Lol...Don't tell me -2.5 isn't a public play on Oakland and you know it.

$300...1 unit = $100.

I'm not going to get sour on here, I'm just saying you have to admit there is no case to play LaFayette yet the line opens -2.5 with last years darling team.

Guys just be weary of what is public knowledge.  Having 4 starters returning is baked in.  I'm not claiming to be a hero and this play very well may lose idk, but I've seen plenty of bs from oddsmakers early on every year as a result of "returning starters".

Returning starters is the #1 stat people use to analyze games early.  Don't forget it, and don't think vegas doesn't check the math with this stat.

LA-Lafa one of the best home W-L records in past seasons. Hard to win there for some reason. LA-Lafa UP 2.

4 fouls on Long...Oakland hanging around.  LaFayette is a deep team despite not returning much from last year.  Playing 11 deep today.  Not watching the game but I suspect they are bringing a lot of energy as a result.

Oakland starters are tough but team is shallow.  Fatigue late perhaps?
