#1 Posted: 4/2/2012 11:57:43 PM Calipari admits he pulled the reins in. He team was begging him to let them play. That's a disgrace - to not even play the 2H. Milk clock. Take a forced shot. 27% shooting the 2H.
Kentucky would have won by 20+ if Calipari stayed in the locker room the 2H. |

#3 Posted: 4/3/2012 12:01:03 AM Yep. Coaches sometimes cost players the game. I feel slowing down is a bad coaching concept yet coaches always do it! |

#9 Posted: 4/3/2012 12:12:53 AM He just won the national championship. No one will remember how the second half played out. He won. I think the guy is a slug, but he won and no one can take that away from him. |

He just played against a team that choked enough to offset his choking skills. It was pretty evident. |

#16 Posted: 4/3/2012 12:57:43 AM I hate Calamari as much as the next guy, but the guy JUST WON.
Kentucky fans may be careful for what they wish for. Now that he's won a title, will the NBA come calling?
I'm not in favor of one-and-done. For every Kobe or LeBron, there are tons of guys that can't even make a euro team (despite their agent that told them they'd be a "sure" 1st rounder).
But even he is right when he says the NCAA or NBA can't enforce a rule. That has to come from the Players Association. I'm going to wait a few weeks before I start holding my breath............ |

Well when it comes to competing in the sport, they made the tournament and win it all in Football the last 2 of 3 years. Can UK say they compete in football the way that Bama does in Basketball? No way |

#21 Posted: 4/3/2012 8:50:57 AM I had KY -2 on a teaser.
I was criticizing Cal just from a Fan's point of view. I would have liked to see them play basketball the second half.
They were more in danger of losing the game playing that slowdown version than if they had just played their usual aggressive game.
Just sayin.' Coaches over-coach.
I've played it, coached it and taught it. |

#23 Posted: 4/3/2012 9:54:03 AM 10 years from now..Do you really think people will care if he won by 1, 5, 8, 10, or 20?
A win is a win is a win is a win.
UK is National champs - Well deserved, they were clearly the best team in the country. Hands down |

#24 Posted: 4/3/2012 10:09:46 AM The only time this matters is if someone had Kentucky 2H, 2H over, game total over, Kentucky team total over or any Kentucky game alternate lines. At the end of the day if there was something dirty going on all Kentucky game backers got a BIG window to play Kansas 2H and hit that along with Kentucky full game and that has to be the worst nightmare for most bookies. Not dirty was going on he was just taking the air out of the ball the last 10 minutes or so and limited Kansas' possessions. It seemed to work as Kentucky won and covered. |

#25 Posted: 4/3/2012 10:45:39 AM i thought calamari had learned hsi lesson and instead of making his team stick their heads on their behind he would go for the kill---
i agree coaches milking the clock too early in 2h and limiting possesions is some stupid and dumb garbage--- if u are crushing the opposition , you shall continue doing so untill all hope is lost just a la Les miles, chip kelly style ---- in fact beting against Kty 2h has been gold --i made a huge mistake thinking that would change yesterday neverteheless i could hedge with an onlive bet on kansas and ended with a lil profit on that end ---- the pt is--kty was clearly the most dominant team its a damn shame teh coach call off teh dogs--sometimes that almost cost them the game
