My condolences to Louisville's tourney run

PITINO gets in done to play UK for one of the greatest hype/rivarly/matchup final 4 games of all time.  the state of kentucky really might just spontaneously combust.  I'll start the over/under for basketball related murders that week at 22.5

Louisville will play their press very similar to the way they did against MSU.  Not going to trap, just going to pick up full court, apply some pressure and make them work for their possessions.  Pitino knows their guards would shred any kind of trapping pressure that Marquette struggled against in the BE tourney.  This game really comes down to Florida hitting the 3.  If they hit at a high rate they win the game.  If louisville can limit open looks and force contested 3's, they win, and probably handily.

Again, they will pick up full court essentially to slow down florida's fast break, not to trap and speed them up like other games.  And as far as your 2nd statement, people have been posting that same statement since the matchup against Davidson was released.  There arent many trends I bet with, but KenPom Def Eff and how that stat relates to final 4 appearances is one of them.  Florida would be the worst Def Eff team to make the final 4 since kenpom started, and that is enough for me to take the Louisville ML.

i don't know the exact number but teams are shooting around 20% from 3 against louisville since the start of the BE tourney.  for a team dependent on the 3 ball, that number scares me a lot.  the louisville zone isn't played the same way as cuse or other teams.  it's a zone with man concepts, and in their 2 biggest games so far this year (BE 'ship, sweet 16) both teams scored 44 points.  I just can't see how florida would be favored here.  IMO playing the spread in this game is pointless, ML or nothing, no matter what side you are on.

If Fla wins more power to you, but you have 4 posts saying nothing other then you like florida.  I come here for conversation and to talk about bets, so other then "the gators have the advantage", why do you really like them?  I've layed out my POV...
