Season Record:  53 - 36

(Sparty Bets):   16 - 4

0-1 on Sunday, nothing Monday.  For Tuesday.....

Indiana +2.5.....I quit making big write-ups a while back but I could go on for hours about why I like IU here.  I've had this one circled as an MSU loss since the start of the season and basically, some things have transpired in the past couple of weeks to make me like this even more than I originally thought I would.  It's been a very good season for me betting Sparty games and I feel as though I've got a great "vibe" going with this team.  I'll be shocked if they win this game at Indiana.  Nothing is ever a guarantee, but I'm betting this one like it is.  I'll be around in the morning tomorrow if anyone wants to discuss the game.

Good luck ya'll

Does the fact IU has only one day rest worry you? I'm leaning IU as well since this game would be closer to a pick'em if Michigan State wasn't playing for the Big 10 title.

No, it doesn't.  I factored it in and it wasn't a big enough deal to alter my thinking.

I think you will be able to get 3 or possibly 4 by game time. This is gonna be an ugly game, but I will been on the Hoosiers as  well. Was hoping they would tank @ Minny to get this line at 5ish....

Thoughts on the total? Lean under as IU is gonna have to crash the boards and run their sets if they wanna hang.

If it goes under MSU will win... IU needs a faster pace to setup transition looks. IU doesn't want to get in a half court battle with MSU.

ZonaCats -

TRAIN- I've never been good at predicting line movements, but like I said, I'm very confident IU wins so I hope a line movement like you're predicting doesn't come into play.  I hit this right away 'cuz I've heard that Derrick Nix may be out tomorrow, and if not out...then at least limited.  Izzo said Trice is definitely doubtful, I don't like how MSU looks offensively on the road when Appling is on the bench and there is no Trice to replace him.  No real thoughts on the total, sorry!

MSU has a stout defense and this game will be tight. It will be low scoring in the 1st half.

I am also leaning IU. Gonna wait to see if the line goes up any by mid afternoon. Hoping the public will pound MSU. Should be a classic. BOL

bense, i am so glad to see you on this one...........i have had my eye on this game for a couple weeks now............if you look at the teams to beat msu, it is teams that can shoot the 3.............i think the combo of zeller and hoosiers 3 balls will give the spartans a loss tomorrow night............good luck my friend

I took IU +3 (-120) for a decent play.  Like buying points on tight spreads and 3 is a very common number as everyone knows.  Doubt line goes above 3, almost guarantee.

Now if we can just get Green to miss the game too.

Huge pressure on Michigan State and they aren't the same team away from East Lansing, this game will be close!

Thanks ya'll, most of ya anyway!  If you're betting MSU, hell you're betting one of the hottest teams in the country, can't argue that.  I'm not here to talk you off of that, I'm simply saying for me, I see so many betting angles favoring IU that I can't ignore them.  It starts plain and simple with revenge.  Crean wants IU at MSU's level so bad he can taste it.  He's been close to winning the last two visits to the Breslin, but came up short.  Sure, MSU won by 15 in the first meeting this year, but IU actually had a DD lead in the 2nd half before falling apart.  And last season, IU blew a golden opportunity to steal a win at the Breslin also.  This IU team knows they can hang with MSU and the home crowd should push the Hoosiers to their 3rd home win over a Top 5 team this year.

No update on Nix yet, I'm assuming he'll play sparingly, which likely means Gauna will see a lot of minutes, something he's not used to.  Even if Nix was at a 100%, I still like IU to get it done tonight!
