BUTLER ML Howard has to stay out of foul trouble with Florida's penetrating forwards. Sheldon Mack will play above Florida's guards, and Butler's bench is better. Butler used to tight games. Florida played an OT session, which doesn't help compared with Butler's cruise to victory. Florida is playing in the Southeast (big advantage) and might feel they are Butler's curse, having eliminated them twice in the last decade. Florida is the "instinct play," the play for the bully you have to pretend you like, but Butler is playing like the bully.

Kemba's a poser and his chesire cat grin is the last we'll see of him Williams a machine at home (LA product). U Conn has been in hotels an awful lot, and the BE Tourney and the travel finally takes its toll. If Kemba shoots a low %, Arizona will rebound and all of their players can execute the fastbreak. Arizona a traditionally good defensive team, exc. at trapping guards.
LEAN----->UNC TARHEELS
ML and OVER 140-145 wide open game played loosely and will make for great TV drama. Uncommitted as yet to either side, but feel good bout the scoreboard being lit up.
VCU +11 Kansas due for at least one test in this wacky SW Regional in San Antonio. Colonial Athletic is a tough league, and I still believe with Hancock playing...George Mason would have extended their 11-2 opening run and held on vs the Buckeyes. I don't like the trends that favor a KU blowout: (Buyer BEWARE)--teams that are DD underdogs tend to get blown out at this stage; Teams that play an OT tend to run out of gas. I did not like Richmond 1st H +6.5 today, but I will like VCU to hang in there on Sunday and keep KU within reach. VCU will find more open shots than they had with FSU--that doesn't make sense, but FSU was the leading defensive team in the nation, extremely long and great at rebounding. Look for the TV audience to tune in late to see if KU can hang on as the remaining #1 seed. Call me crazy, but I believe VCU is worth a ML play, and it is probable we could see a 1st in the Tournament in the modern era, that is, a Final w/o any #1 seeds

When teams lose, it is because they have reverted back to a losing formula from earlier in the year.
Arizona has looked great, but make no mistake, there are many gaps in Arizona when they deal with athletic teams.
Oriakhi and company will handle Williams. He hates dealing with athletic posts, regardless of talent level (he hated dealing with the Beavers bigs when OSU beat them---and their guys are just big, not even good at basketball).
The UConn bigs will frustrate Williams. Arizona will revert back to their matador defense. UConn wins.

Duke is not unathletic, and they featured not one but two outstanding guards and a tough interior defense--one of the tallest in all of basketball. I know the pitfalls of last game handicapping, but with just a day's rest for both teams, there are no adjustments, and I think we will see a game similar to Texas vs Arizona (also one of the most athletic teams you can face).
I do hear what you're saying, and it makes a lot of sense. I think they regress with a change in venue, perhaps the Final 4, but not here, not after one game. I think they backspin in San Antonio. U Conn had two good spurts to close out vs San Diego at the end of both halves; otherwise they looked pretty average and dull offensively.
I'm going to side with Rick Pitino on this game: " They (Arizona) will go all the way."

Kemba is far from a poser. Game is a toss-up to me, but, I don't see Zona shooting 54% again from the field and 60% from 3 as they did vs. Duke. No play for me, think I'll just sit back and watch.
Butler has played 3 teams that they match up pretty well with so far. I think Florida will be too athletic. Not comfortable laying 4 against them, but, I do think there run ends here.
Agree with UNC advancing and VCU +11. GL with your plays.

Gators ain't the pitifuly slow & unathletic Badgers. A whole different breed of animal. Fl by 10+. & VCU also can quit dreaming, KU class of tourney, the M&M boys will tear them up.

Thanks everyone. I'm slightly high right now, but enjoying the moment, ready to enjoy the games, all the drama.
I know fans easily hate DUKE or Florida (or think they do), but it's the same probably that caused people to hate 1970s UCLA--success.
I like Butler basketball to beat Florida basketball, today on the court, and Butler gets the first tickets to the Semi-Finals, plain and simple.
I like Arizona basketball to beat U Conn basketball, just this day in LA with the personnel that will be playing and coaching.
I will not be intimidated because they are underdogs and are 'supposed to lose.'
I am not rooting for Butler or Arizona. I am not a fan. As a northeaster I'd like to see U Conn or VCU get into the dance, but I don't think either can or will do it.

I am a Kansas Chalk Jayhawk fan, and hope they win it all. They are pure class. I think they win but don't cover. But I don't think they care about covering--just advancing.
