Hey guys, taking all these plays from the boys CappersDelight and they have 25 free plays for tomorrow. Here are their NCAAB plays, they are 15-10 on the year and were outstanding last year. Enjoy!
3rd ranked Syracuse host 7th ranked Villanova in a massive game for both schools. Syracuse were on an impressive 18 game winning streak before they fell to Pittsburgh, who we deem to be one of the top 3 teams in the nation. They were missing leading scorer Kris Joseph for that game, but apparently he looked good in practice on Thursday and may be good to go tomorrow. It will be quite an atmosphere at the Carrier Dome as there are a rumored 33,000 students attending this game. Villanova is coming off a road loss, too. The Wildcats had an 11-game winning streak snapped Monday at No. 8 Connecticut. Corey Fisher had a career-high 28 points, but Corey Stokes, their leading scorer, was 0 for 6 from the field and finished with three points. The 59 points were a season low and marked the first time in 51 games that Villanova failed to reach 60. The Wildcats played that game without guard Dominic Cheek, who has a sprained left knee. An MRI exam on Monday revealed no additional damage. Cheek is questionable for Saturday. Villanova just do not have the depth to compete in big games like this so close to eachother. They are missing too many important players, Syracuse is too good, and ‘Nova’s stars aren’t playing like it. We will take Syracuse to win here in front of 33,000 strong. PICK: Syracuse -5 -108 (1.92) (pinnacle)
Stanford Cardinal @ UCLA Bruins
It’s a good Pac-10 match up here but we fancy the home team to do some damage on the Cards. The Cards have been good this year playing some great defense and winning games. They do struggle on the road however and playing at Pauley Pavilion is never an easy place to be. After a hot start, the Pac-10 teams have really slowed down the Cards and they come off a big defeat to the hands of USC where they got demolished by 23 points. After picking up 3 straight wins, we expect Nelson and the Bruins to get another big win here. Stanford won’t be able to contain the Bruins and they don’t the enough fire power on offense to get into a shootout. We like the home crowd here to get UCLA fired up as they should easily handle Stanford today.
PICK: UCLA -6.5 -105 (1.95) (pinnacle)
Pittsburgh @ Depaul
After playing a great game in a roller coster ride against Syracuse, Pitt has to get themselves up to play against a poor Depaul squad. Pittsburgh is the real deal this year, they are big, fast and can shoot. We expect them to make easy pickings of Depaul. An big win over Syracuse is not the only impressive line on Pitts resume. They have easily handled some teams this year, including, 21 point victory of Seton Hall, 15 points over GT, 8 point win in Marquette and a 15 point victory against UConn. They have it all this year and Depaul really doesn’t have much fight today, even if they are at home. They have lost 6 straight games now, including a 20 point defeat to Marquette and a 30 point defeat against Uconn. This team gets blown out of the water against any good teams and we expect a smashing tonight.
PICK: Pittsburgh -16.5 -105 (1.95) (pinnacle)
Marquette vs Notre Dame
Short-handed and in hostile territory, Notre Dame ran into a perfect storm earlier this month in suffering its worst loss of the season at Big East rival Marquette. Back home and with Carleton Scott healthy, the 16th-ranked Fighting Irish seek to avenge that defeat Saturday night against the Golden Eagles. Marquette followed up their demolishment of Notre Dame with close one point loss away to an impressive Louisville squad. They also beat Depaul by 30 since last playing Notre Dame. Notre Dame followed the loss to Marquette by also losing by 18 to St. Johns and beating Cincinnati by 8 at home. Thing is, Marquette are a much better all around squad then Cincinnati and they will give Notre Dame fits. Marquette aren’t a great road team, but their 1 point loss to a Louisville side who we rank much higher than Notre Dame is impressive. Marquette have won 6 of 9 games against Notre Dame since joining the Big East in 2005, and we think they will make it an impressive 7 of 10. Either way we will take the 3 points in what should be a very close, entertaining game.
