I'm actually leaning on St. Mary's ML, but it seems like everyone is on St. John's tonight. I think the fact that it's St. John's first game, and they are playing at roughly 2am (10pm for those attending St. Mary's) are two big disadvantages. Granted, I don't know a whole lot about NCAA ball, so I would appreciate any insight into this game.

these are what they call the intagibles...time and home court. I believe the Johns are better but St Mary can hit the 3 and they have time and home court on their side...but maybe this is the Lavin era...I think I'll just stick 10 bucks on it so I'll have something to stay up for...I'm gonna take the points...lets make some small change here  I'm going with the Lavin gang...

Reason for optimism: Much has been made of new coach Steve Lavin’s recruiting success since taking over the Red Storm, but his current roster should have the experience to make an upward climb in the Big East in the meantime. Ten seniors are on the roster, including four who consistently started last season, and two of them (D.J. Kennedy and Dwight Hardy) averaged double-digit points. Also expect a Lavin recruit, the athletic Dwayne Polee II, to get plenty of playing time and set the tone for the future -- a future that will include what is already ranked as a top-10 recruiting class for 2011.

St Mary's ...still high off a strong finish last season, and the student body is hyped up for the 11pm game time, the gym should be shaking tonight.

I've always said it is great to listen to the perspective of others...I use this board to help me in case I've missed an angle or didn't wieigh certain factors. but in the end if you have capped it to win remember it's your money and no one else's so bet like it.
