which is why I will wait until gametime when it hits +8. Think about it....Butler may not win but they play excellent D. Yes, Duke played an excellent Purdue D but Purdue did not have the chemistry due to the injuries.
Butler will milk the shot clock with every possession. They are very disciplined with the perimeter D. Last but not least, Butler has not lost in months.' They may lose this game but not by more than 5.
My early prediction is Butler 69- Duke 65. Gordon Haywood is MOP and the key player will be Matt Howard.

dude i am a huge butler fan during this tournie but man I really cant see Duke winning by less than 10. How is Howard gonna stay outta foul trouble?? Zoubek's fat ass will give him a fit. Please help me out. I seriously would rather not bet this game then bet on Duke haha.

Sorry, butler has been fun to watch. I respect the hell out of them. but I'd be shocked if Duke doesnt win this one big. The only thing that scares me is how confident I am in Duke winning it.

If 80% of the public is on Duke ML and Spread I gotta go Butler. I feel Duke played an unreal game today. They could not miss. The thing that bothers me is how is Butler going to keep pace scoring with Duke.

How bad was WVU defense tho. Like was Duke just that good tonite or was WVU d that bad haha
IMO, when I watched the UK/WVU game, UK was missing uncontested 3s for the most part. Tonight again, Duke was getting wide open looks. Butler plays ridiculously good man-to-man perimeter defense. IF Mack and Howard are healthy, I think they stay within 7.

If you watched Duke play tonight you would think that Duke should win by 20 but think back to Cuse and how they beat Gonzaga by 35 points and how unstoppable they looked. Butler played a K St team with lots of size and battled with Howard in foul trouble.
Butler slows the game down and takes teams out of their game that way. The thing I like about Butler is they are physical without fouling on the perimeter. I think Butler will jam the Duke guards outside the 3 point line and force the bigs to beat them. You may see Zoubek and one of the Plumlee twins get 10 points but the Duke guards will not get theirs.
I am a big ACC guy being an FSU fan and I have watched Duke all year. Teams like Clemson and even FSU got physical with DUke and took them out of running base sets.
The key for Butler in this game is they know what they will get from Haywood and Mack. In order to beat Duke one of the others will have to have a 17-20 pt game and I think Howard is the guy in this game. Veasley will be an X-factor as well.

Howard has been in foul trouble, 2 ,in first 5 or 6 minutes ,for last few games. Zoubek needs to have a hell of a game!

This is the game where lack of size is going to hurt butler. Duke by DD when it is all said and done.
I heard this same statement all week going into the MSU game. Not saying it won't happen Monday night, just saying that I think people are underestimating how well Butler plays defense.

It's Duke's year. Everyone will love Butler with these pts. Duke wins by 8 and crushes everyone in the last 3 seconds with foul shots by there douchebag shooters.
70-62 Duke.

Duke took apart arguably the hottest team in college basketball in WVU. To think that people actually think Butler will win this game is scary. Duke overmatches them on all cylinders.

WVU was not the hottest team in CBB, not that it matters anyway. Butler is the hottest team. They have not lost this year. Its all about matchups and Butler matches up well with Duke. Best of luck on your Duke play. Read my above post on why I think Butler will beat Duke and let me see a post explaining you Duke theory.
