Last four games in the tourney/big east tourney Truck has played 16, 22, 16, and 10 minutes scoring 4, 4, 0, 0 points respectively. In those games, Mazulla has played 24, 22, 29, 24 scoring 3, 5, 6, and 8. He's also had 2 games with 6 or more assists out of those 4. Truck has been hurt for a few games and has been playing poorly. On the contrary, Mazulla continues to improve and recover daily from his shoulder injury from last year.
I agree that this will cause Mazulla to play a little more and will cause a little more fatigue, but Truck has really been more of a liability the past week or 2. With Huggins' short leash on yanking Truck, I doubt he would have played much more than 10-15 minutes in this game anyways. Whatever your thoughts were before this game, whether it be liking Washington or WVU, I would not change because of this injury.

WVU -8*: I should probably make this around 10, but I can't do this this
late in the season. The 'Neers will murder a small UDub team on the glass and
their length will make it VERY difficult for the UW midgets to score.

WVU -4.5: This line is WAY too low. I was off on the UNM game, but jesus way too much credit going UDub's way.

By the time the third round (also known as the Sweet Sixteen) is complete, most of the major upset specials have left the tournament. Here are some patterns:

Truck is very overrated IMO. Mazzulla has stepped up but he hasn't ever been the same since that shoulder injury. I still see the mountaineers playing the same solid ball without truck.

Freshman Dalton Pepper played eight minutes per game and averaged 3.3 points this season. He did not play against Missouri and has not played more than nine minutes since Jan. 20.
Against Missouri's press, West Virginia used Da'Sean Butler to bring the ball up the floor. At 6 foot 7 and 230 pounds, he's essentially an oversized shooting guard. It's likely Washington will hound him with Justin Holiday.
Another option for the Mountaineers is versatile 6-foot-9 Devin Ebanks. He can handle the ball for his size and likely will be guarded by Quincy Pondexter.
