Things to Focus on When Picking NCAA Tourney Games...

I was wondering what everyone focuses on when picking NCAA tourney games with teams you may haven't have seen much this year, and don't have many (if any) common opponents.

Things I like to look at, and seem to do well for me (in this order):

1) Road & Neutral Site record/ Quality Road wins (I have no interest in a team that went undefeated at home but can't win out of their friendly confines)

2) Results in the last 10-15 games (I don't care so much if you lost to a crappy team in the Pre-season NIT, however how are you playing currently?)

3) Strength of Schedule (Yes, it DOES make a difference)

4) Site Location (Is a West Coast team heading 3,000 miles to play an opening round game?)

5) FT %

6) Experience/coaching

7) 3 Pt %

8) 3 Pt % Defense

9) Rebounding Margin

10) Scoring Margin

Agree/Disagree?  BOL to everyone in the Tournament!

I dunno though, have you seen Richmond's mascot?  It has to be the gayest looking spider I've ever seen in my life...

Yes, but this can get skewed depending on your competition.  Also, FT% has to be a big one if you're talking about strictly statistics.

Yah, I got that, GL with your play... just thought it was kinda a random post under this topic heading.  Be careful betting against Nova during the tourney however, they are experienced, have great guards, and they will be getting Taylor King back, who was out for their last several games.

For 2 minutes. He was supposed to be suspended for the entire Big East Tournament, but I guess Jay Wright decided to let him get on the stat sheet with a PF before he sat his ass back on the bench.  I think Wright made his point, they will likely use him normally now in the NCAAs...

With the Pac-10 having a shitty year, unfortunately this is one area the NCAAs will be seriously missing out on some prime talent over the next three weeks 

Poundtown, I definitely agree, with the possible exception of the Big Ten.  I have Minny winning... they can beat anyone, and I think they will be energized after squeaking in following the poor second half against Ohio State.  Also, that game is in Milwaukee, could be a nice advantage for the Gophers.  I hate some of these First Round matchups... teams I wanted to pound are matched up against each other, and teams I wanted to fade are facing one another as well.  It's almost as if the Selection comittee did it to fuck with the betting public...
