Michigan St. -18. I hate playing the big numbers but I couldn't resist here.
Valpo’s offensive numbers are a little skewed because they got so many wide open looks in the UNC game and nailed down their shots (12-27 from 3), but this team is not very good. Despite playing with a complete lack of focus, UNC did lead that game by 24 with 15 to play (after being only up 7 at the half), so Valpo is dying to give up points if MSU just runs its offense and gets good shots. MSU will also play better perimeter D, take away the three, and force Valpo to turn it over more.
MSU hasn’t really played that well so far this year and Izzo will tie Heathcote for most wins by an MSU head coach if the Spartans can polish off Valpo. I think they play their best because of this. Look out.
bracks - on Dayton as well. They seem to be in Puerto Rico to play ball while the Cats seem to be there for vacation (comments from players and coaches make it sound that way, too). KSU will have a very good bball team this season...but they're not there yet. Not playing good defense and not playing well together as a team.
Got Mississippi as an easy winner over KSU the other night in the PR tourney. Looks like the same here.
