Davidson clearly is not who they have been the last few years. It is impossible to fill the void of the loss if Stephen Curry and the loss os Andrew Lovedale inside also hurts. However, one thing this team did learn the past few years was big game experience as they have taken on an extremely difficult out of conference schedule; quite frankly, one of the toughest in the nation. They are still fundamentally solid and well coached and Barr, Archambault, Rossiter amd Gosselin were all solid players last season. I watched South Florida against Virginia earlier this week and despite the win and cover, I thought South Florida was sloppy and out of sync. They caught a shorthanded Virginia team missing some players and played a good second half at home. I just don't think this team is ready for a disciplined and well coached Davidson team that is experienced especially away from home. In addition, there is news this morning of potential major violations in the S. Florida program amd some wrongdoings by coaches and players and it definitely has to be a bit of a distraction. Davidson played a solid game at Butler in the loss last week and I think this is a good spot for them close to home.
