Not a very appealing game at first glance, but I'm all about the Ragin' Cajuns on 11/14.
Last year's Southern Miss team did not have a deep bench. As a matter of fact, they basically played 5 players for the majority of the season, with reserves seeing very little PT. This year 3 of those 5 starters are gone. (It should be noted, So. Miss lost 11 of their last 13 games...so the players they did have, weren't exactly the 1990 UNLV squad.)
The Ragin' Cajuns return all 5 starters and 12 upperclassmen this year. The starting 5 have played together for the past two seasons. While the Cajuns were a poor 10-20 last season, they do have aspirations of competing for a Sun Belt title.
The Ragin' Cajuns have a very strong home court advantage in the Cajundome.
The Ragin' Cajuns are 18-5 in home openers in the Cajundome.
The Ragin' Cajuns are 95-31 in the Cajundome this century.
