I see a lot of love for them today, but I don't really understand it. The Privateers had a great year last year as they were loaded with senior talent. They return the second best player from that team in sophomore Kyndall Dykes. He is an absolute stud, hands down. However, the rest of this team is extremely young and inexperienced. Besides Dykes, they start 3 mediocre freshmen and a sophomore center who has size, but definitely doesn't dominate down low. Young teams historically do not fare very well on the road, and that has been the case with this year's team. They have been very unimpressive against sub-par teams so far.
Monroe won this game last year on the road against a much better New Orleans team. Although, this matters very little since ULM returns only a few players form last year's squad as well. And yes I know senior Tony Hooper has been suspended. The Warhawks have added some very good talent via transfers. Gilbert from Miami, Thomas from Pepperdine, and Hill from Southern Miss. They also landed a good freshman in big man Rudy Turner. Gilbert has only been eligible for the last 3 games but seems to gel with the team as he averages 16 ppg.
I was hesitant to jump on the Warhawks since ULM has been less than spectacular this year without a doubt. 0-6 ats does not look too inviting, but they have been playing much better competition than NO so far. This is their first home game since 11/25 and I expect them to come out and play well for the hundreds in attendance. lol.
This is just MHO. I see NO being less than advertised and ULM being undervalued at home with the addition of Gilbert. No matter what your play, GLTA as always.
If someone else has more info on this game that could sway me off this play, I would love to hear it

I am way on the other side but I respect your view in opinion. In this case, if the shoe was on the other foot (me liking monroe), it would be a no bet simply because they havent proven they can win. The public likes NO and vegas has responded with a slight move toward NO. Just my opinion....

Ya, I was definitely expecting a WAY better line here, but I really think this number is about right. I can definitely see why people would be backing NO against this ULM team, but I just see a win for the home team tonight. The line is fishy and there is heavy action on the Privateers with not much movement, which would normally make me more confident in this play. However, it seems to me that the public has been killing it lately.
Either way, GL showtime, and I def understand your play as it was what I first liked when I started to research

I guarantee you that you'll find a game that absolutely tomorrow. Regardless of outcome of tonights game. Don't pull the trigger unless you are confident in your read. In response to your line movement comment. There isn't a lot of money being flooded toward this game. The little that is is on NO. Tonight is a uge NBA night, Vegas is focused on that action...For some reason, the public loves pro sports,..those of us who make money doing this loves the college game...go figure.

Richmond is a much stronger play for me tonight, but I wanted to make another smaller play here. And I just meant much more action on NO than ULM. I agree there can be soft lines out there when pro sports are in full swing. Fri nights NBA and NFL sundays mean less attention being paid to where money can be made. I love getting to know small college teams and cashing where others don't bother to look.

Excellent point of view but I am on the other side. I don't really see a difference in schedules. I see UNO's schedule ranked 286th so far and Monroe's 277th with UNO having 3 games against teams in the top 150 and Monroe just two. However, you do make some good points here for Monroe. Thanks for the opposing view.
