Thinking of havingn an NIT tournament for those who had a bad week the last 16 scores who do not qualify for the big dance could make the NIT IF...... 1-You guys agree i should do it ONLY last 16 scores outside of the top 64 scores can make it NEED EVERYONES OPINION 2-SHOULD I RECIEVE AN AUTOMATIC BID TO THE FIELD OF 64 FOR RUNNING THIS IF I FALL ON MY FACE

1. Great idea, although some might not be interested if they have no shot at the gold 2. Absolutely

Never would seed myself #1 would put myself right in the middle. Not sure it wqould be necessary to do the automatic bid but its possible and id hate to screw that 64th person over.We do have a lot of no shows right now so this field of 80+ may actually only be 70 to 75 by the end of week so NIT is improbable as of today but possible cause its only Thursday and some people may just be off the site for 2 days.

Eaglesfan01 -- With all the effort it takes to run this, seeding you # 1 overall wouldn't bother me one bit. Just my way of saying absolutely to the automatic bid. Even if you were able to NIT this and get 64 teams, being seeded #1 doesn't guarantee victory anyway. But, as I am quite sure everyone would agree, you should get an automatic bid to the dance.

Personally, I prefer NIT over NCAAT anyways! NIT is all about who is happy to be there and who is pissed to be there! I say YES.

1.) NIT - yes if you have the time..but I would think that would be more stressful. 2.) Absolutely automatic bid - I was going to mention that before but you beat me to the post. If people do not agree to your automatic bid which I assume they will, you could do the play-in game. For the first week you could face the number 64 along with whatever opponent the 64 seed was suppose to play.

you should ABSOLUTELY get an automatic bid into the tourny. No questions asked. Anyone who second guesses it would be out of their mind. If the demand is there for an NIT tourny then go for it.

I say yes to your bid and you can seed yourself where you wish, you are running this and it takes a ton of your time!

I may make JOHN BOY crap his pants with this question, but what is a NIT (Invitaional?) and how would you run it and why would you want to and don't you have enough to do with the tourny??? Yes, of course seed yourself. (That's the only way I get to get in some contests! I have to run them myself...!!
