Need 1 Win to Close 10-Team Parlay!!! Djokovic + Federer?
This is a good, but tough spot to be in--needing one more to close a 10-Team Parlay! Had Federer yesterday for number 9, and he gave me 3 heart attacks and a head full of gray hair! He had to save three match points against Wawrinka!
Just checked and Djokovic is -340 (it's been dropping). Thinking of taking Djokovic -340 to close the parlay.
Then, a "straight up" bet on Federer +280 for one-third of the amount I'd win on the 10-Team Parlay...just in case Djokovic loses. Is this a logical bet? Not sure, but tennis seems to be the best bet to close the parlay, even with a lower payoff.

Just saw this. I totally disagree that tennis is the best to close a parlay. I think many other options are way better. Especially not a match like that one. Federer could very easily won that match if he played well and Djokovic had slipped or not been on top of his game. The odds themselves made Federer a value play to me. Maybe I am wrong, but I would have chose something where I would have a chance to hit both the parlay and the hedge. In tennis only one guy can win. The only way to do that would be to take the favorite and play the dog on spread. To me this was not a good match to try that because if Djokovic is on top of his game he could've covered that easily.
I would've this time of year chosen a close NHL game and played the fave and hedges with dog +1.5. Or something similar in football game, etc.
Anyway---what did you choose and how did it come out??
