Stosur ML +175 and +3.5 games,

Stosur matches up perfectly with a deteriorating Venus.   Power versus power is when Venus is most vulnerable. Don't let her ease of victory vs Errani fool you, this line is bizarrely slanted towards Venus without much substance. Stosur is erratic as a fav but does typically find ways to win against players she should beat,,, the +3.5 games here is one of the most betable dog spreads I've seen in the wta for quite some time

I'm also on Larsson +5.5 games from wager tied up due to rain

Go Milos Go (no play for me, just a fan watching and cheering), what an amazing opportunity to get to his first 1000 masters series Semi

Disagree Packers... Sam hates to be rushed on hard courts. She is at her best when she has time to setup and can dictate rallies from the center of the court. Venus has the style of game to take her time away. Also the kick serve doesn't hurt Venus like most players as she is a tall player

Also its hard to ignore head to head....they played twice this year on clay which is Sam's best surface and Venus had a win and 3 set loss.

I would lean Venus here

Sparty your insight is always appreciated,,, you give me the confidence to consider taking Venus to win first set just as a buy out out of my ML play, but I do think stosur gives the full effort to keep this match close,,, I've been losing spreads by the hook a lot recently though,,, should be a really good match to watch

Yes,,,it's a harsh opinion I have, but what has she done in the past year to prove her career is on a major downward slide. She has truly aged, her speed is no longer her strength, her serve is more a liability than ever before, and she hits far more errors now than winners.
If the only Venus match you've watched in its entirety was yesterday's, then you would for sure disagree, but that was just a mirage against a hopeless clay court pusher on hards

Errani played into Williams hand...she was trying to play flat shots and tried to dictate rallies...its hard to beat Venus hitting with power.

Stosur likes to hit with power... Sam needs to play smart using topspin to hit deep in hopes of getting a short ball she can attack. If Sam is going to win she needs to be patient and wait to pounce. If she starts going for winners from bad positions that is when the errors will come in droves.

Venus yesterday was brilliant...best she has looked in awhile. She took control of rallies and was very aggressive on return...something she will need to do again today to win.

Venus has looked better since Wimby...and the head to head to me is telling. Venus is a bad matchup for Sam...but I hope you hit it Packers

I got Stosur 1st set. But she is known choker so I can't trust her to win the match. +3.5 seems like a real good bet too.

If you make more errors than Venus at this stage of her career, you don't have a chance

Stosur is really mentally weak. If there is potential to choke under pressure, she will do it
