Tough to say Ive never seen any tournament at this course. I know there is one that players will be hitting Gap Wedge to, seems like a good chance for 1 there.

Course is going to be pretty wet and saturated...I think a lot of shots are going to come into the green and stick pretty good, not a lot of roll.  Could see some great approaches, but a hole in one might be really tough.

Also, here are the par 3's

Hole 3 256 yds
Hole 9 236 yds
Hole 12 115 yds
Hole 17 246 yds

The only hole to have a legit chance at a hole in 1 is the 12th hole, and I think the saturated greens make it tough to get a roll into the cup.  I took this prop at -185 on dimes.

I'd have played this.  For at least today and maybe part of tomorrow, you're dealing with soft greens which means you might have to land it damn near in the hole.  Field thins for the final 2 rounds when you will probably have to be a little nervous about an ace on 12.

Good luck.  Fun prop for sure.

Ernie Els almost ed us.  Wasn't a great show, but bounced off the rough and almost went in.  Hit the pin and ended up about 2 inches out.

Will be sweating for sure, but still feel good about it.

Looks like you will just need to fade 13.

I would not be surprised if they made a juicy hole placement for the players on Sunday to see if it might create more drama (since you know the hard holes are gonna be extra hard).

Get through today and at least the field thins.

A bit scary that it's only -600 for tomorrow.

I've been scared all weekend

I'll be happy if the bet cashes, but it's been one of the more stressful bets I've ever made.  Every time they cut to some unknown guy on a par 3 tee shot, I don't know if it's going to be the dreaded hole in 1, or he sprays one into the gallery hitting a woman on the head.

-600 is actually good odds all things considered...betting that nobody will get a hole in one on one of the toughest courses in recent history on one day?!?  But nobody is going to lay that much.

That's what I'm saying. I wanted to see -800 or higher, unless as someone said above, hole placement brings one of the other 3's into play. We've got 1/6th of the total golfers hitting into each hole left to survive.

Unbelievable.  Dude hits a shot that missed the hole by 30 yards...gets an insane bounce and hosed us.  Stefani was +20...first hole in one in US Open history.

Wife of a buddy of mine made a similar Ace just like Stefani did today, only difference is the distance of the hole. She holed a 110 yarder.

Sorry for the loss boys

I will tell you from experience that not all aces are clean shots.  I have a single "Ace" to my credit and it was a bladed iron that hit the front fringe and rolled some 50ft and dropped.  I was 17-18yrs old at the time.
