I think most of the guys in contention on the American team are too experienced to get affected by the pressure and they would have had the pressure of the playoffs anyway. I could see Watney get affected a bit though as he has never made the team before and has only just come into contention with his win and now there is a lot of ryder cup talk. That is a whole lot of new pressure that he probably didn't expect coming from week to week. It will be interesting to see if it gets to him.
Fowler and Mahan could push themselves a bit too hard knowing they would probably need a good performance to show that the form is where it needs to be after underperforming for a while. But it is really hard to know what goes on inside the players heads:) |
