Even if Thursday is the new Friday, the old Friday is pretty good.
Ligue 1

It's early but Monaco are showing themselves to be one of the top teams in Ligue 1 once again - of course, that's not a surprise. Even without Mbappe last week they rolled over Dijon 4-1 They had a bit of a scare in week one with Toulouse taking the lead twice but ultimately came back to win 3-2. I had said Toulouse would give them a hard time, but I didn't see 5 goals.
They've lost a few important pieces, but Fabinho, Lopes and Jorge have all stepped in and played well. They picked up Ghezzal who had 8 goals for Lyon last year and he may see some time tonight.
Metz, on the other hand, were lucky to be stay up last year and if they aren't relegated this year, I will be surprised. They've got maybe one or two players who would even be part of the 18 for Monaco, Their six midfielders/forwards that have lined up the last two weeks had 11 goals between them last year, and they've managed two in two games so far.
This is a 24 million Euro club vs. a 250 million Euro club. Mbappe isn't travelling with the team once again, but Monaco is fully fit otherwise. It's a mismatch to say the least, but everything I'm reading is saying that they'll still play the game to decide.
Got this play last night and the odds are creeping a bit...

Le Havre is off an amazing start in Ligue 2 with 10 goals for vs. 1 against. Only one non-promoted team conceded less goals last year in Ligue 2 and they're conitnuing the trend with some added offense. This will be the best team they've played so far - Valenciennes have only conceded one goal so far in three matches. That said, the teams Le Havre have beat, bad as they may be, are only conceding a goal per game when they haven't played Le Havre.
AC Ajaccio has always been a very strong home team while Paris FC is just promoted this year. Both of them have two goals and both have been shut out twice. Going with the home side.
Niort have yet to concede while Tours have yet to score and have let in 6 and sit last.

lol Only 4th game on the road Isloch has scored -- for only 3rd non-loss in 10 games. That'll teach me to bet on a mid-table Belarus side.
-------
Bundesliga 0-0
Bayern will be better than they were last year, and Leverkusen should be worse.
BL lost their top two scorers and didn't bring in anyone to replace them but and spent only on Sven Bender at CB. They still have Brandt,Volland and Pojanpalo and certainly underperformed last year but even with Bayern absences, I like the home side on opening day.
