Aus/Cameroon BTTS @-130, Cameroon to win @+205 - had a chance to watch replay of both teams initial games, cant figure out why the Africans are given these prices. For starters, I just want to mention I honestly do not what what the heck to expect with African teams. but this is the one match where I feel their athletic superiority can offset any deficiencies. Had this one circled before start of tourney given the strength of the other two teams in this Group and felt, at worst, lines would be =, so theres value. regarding the other one, basically, the loser is eliminated; and a draw helps neither considering their opponents (Germany/Chile) in 3rd match. I get the feeling this will be a back-n-forth type of game with plenty of chances. African teams always end up freaking out once scored upon, and Australia have conceded 2+ goals in 4 of their past 6 matches; if Thailand, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia can score on them, so can Cameroon.
Germany/Chile draw @+265 - this is just a hunch. dont want to spend too much on an O/U, or props etc etc. Vidal is familiar with the German system having played a few years with Munich, Bravo (GK) should be back, Alexis a bit healthier, and to offset this, like I mentioned last week in that I really dont feel Germany has a 'B' team, its just a label the media puts on them because their "regular" starters arent on the field. this team is still good, theyve just needed the reps/minutes which were scarce. cant stand what Pizzi (Chile) has done to this team, gone is that full-throttle attack mode; and Low, tho he seemed genuinely happy pumping his fist with a huge smile after the final whistle, he cant be too thrilled conceding 2 to Australia; especially when their next opponent is 10x more skilled on the offensive end. I WANT to take the 'over' but this is the stuff thats holding me back. this could end up 3-3 or 1-1. And in my 'messed up' logic of looking ahead....."loser here gets Portugal, winner gets Russia/Mex" is how I see this tourney progressing; and I dont think either one of these teams will let the other have that advantage today, their 3rd game will decide it in a few days. lets hope Pizzi & Low dont pull an 'Osorio' on me too.
Finland:
VPS to win @-110, VPS/Rops over 2.5 @+114 - VPS in 2nd place, 8 pts behind HJK so they cant afford to drop any more pts. The havent been the strongest home side (1-2-2, 6/9 goals) and already have lost to 2 bottom teams in table. But on the '+' side they are currently on a 5 game unbeaten streak & havent lost to this opponent in the past 7 H2H games on this field (5-2-0). Rops are in 10th place at the relegation line, have the 2nd worst defense in the league and currently in terrible form (1-0-5, 4/11 goals) their past 6 games. they are also the only team without a draw this year.
regarding the over, VPS have conceded in every home match. VPS missing just one regular MF whom has been suspended, Rops none.

boof, just watched a replay of that Aus/Cam match. how many chances does one guy need? (cameroon striker) i swear I thought I was watching Altidore fer a while. right after that PK, he missed the open net but (laughing) was his teammate trying to avoid the ball touching him in fear of offside or was he trying to deflect it into the net? cuz the ball went thru his legs. shoulda nailed that outright as well as ur over hitting. the draw with chile/ger helped out nicely. on to tmrw.
