Let us look back at some great English club European performances where it looked like it was over for them
2000/01 UEFA Champions League Quarterfinals - Leeds United holds on in the 2nd leg away to advance over Deportivo La Coruna
2005-06 UEFA Cup Quarterfinals - Middlesbrough down 2 nil heads away to Basel and gets the result 4 to 1 and ends up advancing all the way to the Final (probably should have lost the semi final to Steaua but Mark Veducka had other plans)
2009-10 UEFA Europa League Quaterfinals - Fulham win both legs over Wolfsburg to advance and end up going all the way to the final where they would lose to Atletico Madrid AET (should have been an all English final but Atletico grabbed an away goal at Liverpool in the Semi Finals
So it is possible. Leicester will need a little luck but are they not a due a break? The goal in the 1st leg was not a penalty. It was close but the contact occurred outside of the box. Not blaming the official because I'm sure in a split second with it being so close it is an error that could easily be made.
Atletico had a couple kicks at the can already and guess what they BLEW IT. Is it possible the soccer gods will see this and let someone else have a turn? I know there are no Soccer gods but honestly do we really want to see another Madrid Derby in the SF or F? I sure as hell do not. Let's let Leicester and Monaco fight it out for a place in the final. To me that would be awesome.
But here is my favourite little nugget.....what about some good old fashioned English Karma coming for our resident Villain Diego Simeone. 1998 WC, yes Beckham should have known better but we all know the truth behind the incident and that Simeone should have been the one to be sent off. Just an awful display of sportsmanship. His initial challenge was much worse and should have warranted a red card however Beckham retaliated with a little flick of which the master Actor went down like a ton of bricks. This guy is also notorious for kicking balls away when the ball goes out of bounds if it is for the other team.
For those who follow the EPL, especially the Leicester season last here than you will know when that crowd gets rocking it is a MAJOR home field advantage. One of the best in all of Europe in my opinion. They will need to score first of course.
Officiating will need to go the way of Leicester as well. Atletico players go down with a touch. We know where they learn this from but if Jamie Vardy is allowed to play like he should than the Foxes have a chance. He was blown for many "soft" fouls in leg one. Simply put Atletico players feel the touch and go down. The officials need to LET THEM PLAY and not cave to the whining of Simeone.
How can we not have a team in the Semi-Finals with some great English names such Jamie Vardy, Danny Drinkwater, and Marc Albrighton. Or better yet the Semi-Finals beg for a Schmeichel to be present don't they?

At the end of the day this is a once in a lifetime chance for Leicester. Just like the English Clubs mentioned above we know that they will probably never be back here again...at least not in our lifetime anyways. I know I'm reaching and have capped this game Leicester City 1 Atletico Madrid 2

GL ELDubarino! I really want to pull the trigger on The Foxes here.. Yes, King Power Stadium will be rocking! Sevilla was on a down-slope, but really, Sevilla should've advanced vs LC if we go by "what makes sense." Of course, sometimes, what doesn't make sense prevails in football.
I'd really love to see them advance! BOL today with your plays! Love the over on the game, btw!
