U20 Chile vs U20 Egypt & FIFA Confederations Cup Spain vs Nigeria
My pick:
U20 Chile ML @ 1.90 + Spain ML @ 1.22 = 2.32
$1000 to win $1320
Feeling pretty good about this one. The Spain pick is pretty obvious knowing that Spain will always play to win and they will not go for a draw. The fact of the matter is that Spain has too much talent for a depleted Nigeria squad, and even if they field a "B" team, they will still get the job done. I'm guessing that it would probably be like a 2-0 type of game, but nonetheless they should win really comfortably.
In respects to the U20 Chile match against Egypt, I think that Chile has the quality to win this match. Unlike the other South American and North American teams who couldn't start with a win, I think Chile will go for the win from the start. They have a really strong team, and the Chilean media has big expectations for them to go far in this tournament. They had an excellent preparation coming into this tournament, Mario Salas has done really well fine tuning his team and making them go far. They played 5 friendlies and they went undefeated in all of them, among them wins against Australia, Uzbekistan, 7-0 win against Tahiti (the one getting raped in the Confed Cup), Union La Calera, and drawing with the U20 Spain team 4-4.
Look out for Angelo Henriquez, Nicolas Castillo and Bryan Rabello to control the tempo of the game as well to create chances and especially goals. Now I know that Egypt is the Champion of Africa in their age group, but I still believe that Chile can crank out a win here. It will be a close one, perhaps a 2-1, 3-2 type of game, but La Rojita should start this tournament win the 3 points. They have more European talent and they play games to win, unlike other teams who will settle with a draw. They repeatedly have mentioned that they want to do better than the 2007 U20 team that made it all the way to the semifinals, only to lose to a cheating Argentina team, and bastard Wolfgang Stark as the ref. But anyways, I'm going pretty large with this parlay and I am very confident that this will hit.
BOL to whoever you choose, and here's to a profitable Sunday!

I don't know much about Uzbekistan. Sure, they beat Portugal and lost narrowly to Spain, but I don't know if they have that much quality to take out New Zealand. But then again, New Zealand did play really crappy island teams to get to the U20 World Cup, so then again, who knows?
