Hopefully I can stay hot. Last weeks games were very good. Little blurb writeups with reasons, will be glad to discuss more at length if prompted....
Tues:
1. Copenhagen +.5 +116 (1.5 units) - Copenhagen is in the midst of their winter break from league play - they havent played a competitive game since Dec, only friendlies. But after watching Shakhtar last week who was in the same position, Im not sure if it is a reason to worry. Chelsea just hasnt been scoring - no goals in their last 3 full games in reg time, and they seem like they are on the brink of falling apart after last weekends loss that sent them out of the FA cup. Copenhagen has shown they can play in their group champs league stage - beating out Rubin Kazan and Panathanakos for the second spot behind Barca - doing very well at home by drawing with Barca and beating the other two. Look - Chelsea is Chelsea and can easily win this game, but I just think they are way overpriced here especially when they would be happy to go back to Stamford Bridge with a draw. All signs, along with the price, put me on Copenhagen. Predicted final 1-1.
2. Real Madrid -.5 (1.5 units) - The reason I like Real Madrid here is mostly because of Lyon's defensive Champs League woes as of late - in their last 3 they have conceded 4, 3, and 2 to Schalke, Benfica, and Tel Aviv - not exactly offensive powerhouses. Real Madrid on the other hand has finishing quality with the best in the world - and are extremely stingy conceding - scoring 15 and only letting in 2 during group play. Madrid will sit back and counter-attack, and while they would be happy with a draw, a road goal (or couple of road goals) will be enough to put them through and they simply finish their chances as well as any side in the world. Predicted final RM 2-0.
Wed (back with writeups later):
3. Bayern Munich PK and +.5 -110 (2.5 units) 4. Bayern Munich to advance -123 (2 units)
5. ManU Pk and -.5 (1 unit)

Gl Van...I like both plays and LOVE Bayern....what do you think about Real/Lyon Under 2.5? As you said, I doubt Lyon scores and I think Real wins 1-0 or 2-0 at most..

Van- Rubin and Pan were really pathetic this yr. I've been partial to the Greek side in yrs. past but they were exceptionally weak in the group stages. Copenhagen advanced by default. Not saying they can't draw or win, but the PRICE tells me to lay off this match. GL with your plays.
BTW, I posted in your thread last week regarding MB and their unfortunate demise. You may remember I wrote that parlaymakers may be the last one good out for U.S. residents. Well forget about it. Check out SBR for a good laugh their situation has gone to hell as you expected.

Yeah, I have been following the parlaymakers saga. Another one bites the dust.
