Recap of past weekends games.
Napoli vs Fiorentina.... Fior came into this match with intent of gaining a single point and they were very successful with their defensive strategy. Napoli could not break this defense down and created almost no attempts at goal. The suspension of M. Hamsik made things even harder for the team as his replacement (Sosa) turned the ball over on many occasions.
Inter vs Bologna... Lopsided victory as expected. Inter continue their consecutive win streak under coach Leonardo. Bolonga players still seem to be playing with some pride even though they have payment issues.
Cagliari vs Palermo... Cagliari picks up three massive points and is proving to be a tough home matchup for any team. They have scored 3 goals in each of their last 3 home wins. One recent home lost came against current scudetto leaders, Milan.(0-1) On the flip side Palermo's inconsistent road results continue. Finally Pastore gets back on the score sheet as he has gone cold ever since the return of Miccoli to the starting lineup.
Brescia vs Parma... Early red card to Parma put the result of this fixture in favour of Brescia.(2-0) Diamanti continuing to produce for Brescia as he nets the second goal.
Catania vs Chievo...Catania had an opportunity to avenge their previous lost to Chievo, but came up short with home field advantage. Catania's early season home field domination seams to be losing steam, which is to be expected. Chievo continues to be unpredictable on when they want to play well.
Cesena vs Roma... What all must thought to be a lopsided match proved to be a close one to the end. Roma gets a lucky goal late to secure the victory, but the Totti situation seems to be a distraction to the team.
Genoa vs Udinese... Wow.. Udinese scores 4 goals again. DiNatale's goal may have been a back breaker in this game as the Genoa goalie played it horribly. Genoa looking to acquire players to fill voids left from exiting players.
Juventus vs Bari... Not a convincing win for Juve, but they will take it as they are beginning to get thin on the bench. The return of Martinez is huge for Juve going forward after the loss of Quagliarella for the season.
Lazio vs Sampdoria...Lazio successfully avenges lost of first game. They did not do it with any style as they are currently having troubles scoring goals. Sampdoria played well for most of the game, but one bad offside trap cost the the game. Personally would like to see Macheda play more minutes for Sampdoria.
Lecce vs Milan... Another loss of two points for milan in a game they needed to win if they plan to secure the scudetto title. Milan needs Cassano to get into top gear quickly or else the race for the title might get uglier as they let Inter climb back. Lecce continues to produce at home with another point. (15 pts total)
