With all the massive layoffs from ESPN its still losing money. Matter of fact the C.E.O. said that they were still going to pay billions of dollars for sports fees. Sound like ESPN actually had the chance to combat the cable companies earlier and end the marriage with them. The customers always wanted to watch sports online on their phones, tablets or computers. You can pretty much do that with NFL.COM mlb.com  and NHL.com but you cant do it with college football or college basketball except for the tournament. I would say the only thing holding ESPN together is airing college football and college basketball. I wonder if ESPN finally closes shop and sells off the rights to the highest bidder ? Seem like if it were possible ESPN would make an online platform  to watch and place the channel for free over the air digital television it could work.

Bobby Iger, the CEO of Disney, said that ESPN will soon introduce an online platform to watch games of only your favorite teams.  Not sure how this differs from what they have already, but according to him, it will be a new service that they will have within the year.

Also, World Cup in Russia is next year and Disney owns the TV rights here in the States between its ABC and ESPN networks.

Iger is not a stupid man.  I'm sure he and his team will find a way to keep the ESPN networks afloat.

Just my 2 cents

ESPN would be smart to Florida and prepare for Raiders opening in Vegas. Florida can become Vegas South when/if Donald Trump gets re-elected.

Drain the swamp boys/girls if you want America to be a great Country. Trump can set term limits but those in there now need to be voted out.

So any name you see on the ballot next week ask yourself has he/she done anything for anyone but themselves and you'll know how to vote.

It's up to US to remove the waste.........
