Don't know what happened to scabbers skittles race riots thread, so I guess I'll start a new one.

I told you that some devastating evidence was going to be hitting right before the trial.

Devastating? What is devastating about it?  And how is any of it admissible in court, the end l be all of this?

It appears after reading some of his text that a future Masters or PHD student was taken from us....

No doubt that he was into trouble. But IMO this sheds no light into the actual incident.

Zimmerman's attorney -- "With all due respect judge, you read those texts on Martin's phone right? You know that he liked to smoke weed right? You know that he was possibly interested in a gun right? You also know that he was having trouble at home right? So this should be an obvious decision. He is clearly at fault for all of the actions that occurred on the night that he died".

Scal -- what is your deal with race issues???  I get that you are sensitive to the issue but It seems like you sometimes try to invent an angle just to do it. At the end of the day you often come across as no different that 14daroad.

When this story was first out, I thought Zimmerman committed murder.
With new info and physical evidence, Zimmerman committed self defense.

I assume your are joking  I am not, and have never, saying that zimmerman is guilty but to use this info as a your defining evidence is more than laughable.

This young man tried to live the thug life and got killed.

The race hustlers tried to present a false narrative (and people like covers poster scalabrine accepted such narrative without so much as a critical question) which will be obliterated by the facts in the trial.

This will then move to full leftist meme status - Zimmerman chased down and shot Martin - forever in the minds of the community based reality.

The cell phone pics and texts have nothing to do with what happened on the night of the killing.

But if the prosecution tries to paint a picture of Trayvon as being an "angel from heaven" then the defense can use those pics and texts to refute what the prosecution says.

Character evidence -- if you don't want bad character evidence to be allowed, then you can't offer good character evidence and open the door first. One of the earliest lessons of law school. Be careful about opening that door.

That about covers it.  After all, pretty much every media outlet on TV was running Trayvon's baby pictures to sensationalize the story....every time they reported on the Martin case, there would be the picture of 12 year old Trayvon.   

Media stinks.

Zimmerman is most likely screwed here, at least to some degree.  But I will give him credit for stepping up and filing a lawsuit against NBC Universal for character assassination and slander.  I think that more people should follow suit
