I'll sleep better tonite knowing that "Marco the Mathemetician" is dead. I wonder if his girlfriend is looking for a mate. Nothing like a Brazilian beauty with money.

I'll be going as well. We should start a world cup thread and plan out some good things to do while down there with each others help. I feel like I have to explore the amazon for a couple days if I'm going all the way to brazil. thoughts?

You ever notice that when you see shots of the beaches at RIO all the half=naked people are dancing and drinking and sunning on the sand but nobobys swimming?

As it gets closer - we should definitely have a meetup type of event. 

Search - haven't thought about the visa.  Are you saying it takes a long time?  Cant imagine it wont be loose for the WC.

I'm trying to make it.  It will likely be the last one I'll have any interest in going to while above ground.  Couldn't care less about going to Qatar or Russia to do anything.  Will probably hit a couple of European Championships before dying, though.

i started laying the ground work with the wife for a world cup trip in 2009 before south africa.  if all goes well, i might be all set by 2030.

Heading down to Brazil on June 21st to get the deposit down on a nice rental in a good area. Glad to take some photos of places where we'll be staying and give you a scout report on prices, areas etc...
