Minimum Age Formula - Dating

I'm sure this topic has been brought up ... but the formula as i know it is (Guys age) / 2 + 7 = (Girl's Age).


I'm 38, 39 in a couple months ... so my minimum age is 26.  So a 22 year old is out of the question according to this.  This is not the massage parlor formula where anything 18 and above is all go ... this is for dating.  Would it be too creepy for a 38 year old dude to be dating a 22 year old?  I'm thinking yes, but damn, feeling like such a waste of an opportunity here ... not often a regular guy in the late 30's dates a early 20's girl.

I think 39 and 26 is a waste of time for a LTR.

Go 30 as your floor to be reasonable

I actually agree with this. There is your formula, but screw it. Go slow in the "relationship" category and date away. Enjoy it and forget what anyone thinks.

Some random mathematical formula wouldn't stop me.

I am 37 and this MRS is 26 .... anything lower than that would drive me crazy ....

only thing that bugs me now is the stupid TV shows ... Housewives of ??? ,  say yes to the dress ,  Dum MTV reality shows , vanderpump rules etc ....

DoubleUp, Well I honestly don't know the 22 year old girl's tv habits.  But I see your point.  I'm not much of a tv watcher other than sports.  She supports herself and is more mature than the average 22 year old but she really ... and I mean really looks young.  This is prolly my biggest hang up right now.  Hump and dump is not an option ... she wouldn't allow it and to be honest, I'm getting too old for games.  man, still feels like a wasted opportunity tho ...

If you like the chick go for it. You are almost 40. This more than likely wont have the chance to happen again. Formula? This aint algebra. There is no a+b=c .

Let me ask you this: If she is ok with dating a 40 year, WHO CARES WHAT ANYBODY ELSE THINKS. Its just you and her at the end of the day. Everyone else can go f uck themselves. Its not your problem. Most that disapprove are simply jealous.

A ridiculous topic actually....only question to EVER ask is... *are your NEEDS being met?....(both parties)

If all our needs were the same....well then we could lay out some ground rules....but they ain't....so every case is different....age/race/social class is meaningless...
