Wonder why an IRS office in Texas would be calling you if you're in Canada. The IRS will usually contact you via mail from one of two major IRS centers first. Those officies are located in Salt Lake City, Utah or Memphis, Tennessee. If things really got bad, you could get a visit from a local agent. But given you're in Canada, I'd assume it's letters first then phone call. When in doubt, call the IRS using a listed phone number. All their phone numbers based in Texas are listed. Go online and look for yourself.
