Without doing any quick searches, what do you think are the five drugs that create the most damage to society?
I have a few guesses and will share them later. Many "experts" and professionals that spend decades researching this stuff have their opinions based on different factors, but many also disagree with each other I'm sure. That said, right off the top of your head, what are your top five?

Steel, you seem like a cool dude for sure. But man, why do you post so much about drugs? It can be an interesting topic from time to time but sometimes it seems like you post stuff like this just waiting for someone to say marijuana....solely so you can defend it. At least that's what it seems like. I mean, no hard feelings here and I hope you don't take this the wrong way but anyone who is semi-regular/regular member on this forum knows that you are a huge supporter of marijuana (which is fine) but it just seems like you really enjoy defending it (which is fine too). But maybe it's just me but it does seem like you start a lot of drug related threads and they seem to usually excite someone and a debate/argument gets started about opposing/defending marijuana. Maybe it's just me but it just appears that way. Again, no hard feelings man...I enjoy fun/healthy conversations and debates as much as the next guy.
PS---I am also always impressed by your ability to post so fluidly on a mobile device

I agree with your first 4... perhaps 5... but I dont think that 6 really has any significant negative effects that I can think of... perhaps Im not seeing it

and i have a question about a drug called fentanyl 1600mcg if anyone cares to answer or offer their opinions. i know someone who has to go through a whole fuckin' case every month because of a major back injury 30 years ago. It comes in the form of a "lollipop" that you suck on and it goes straight into the bloodstream as opposed to say in pill form. I hear it is 80 times as strong as heroin, so does this mean a person on this type of medication is worst than a heroin addict? 10mg of methadone gets taken every morning too, i thought methadone helps you get off the opiates? How can someone be taking methadone for years and years and still be on both opiates and methadone? by the way there's some kind of muscle relaxant(benzos) i believe that goes in there too.
Funny how some legally prescribed people on medication act worst than people with a marijuana habit in which weed being illegal.

Diet pills and caffeine are only on there to illustrate that I'd rank them as more harmful than marijuana.

Ad1260... I get a little carried away with this topic I know. Just an FYI though, I didn't create this thread to defend Cannabis. I'm actually interested in what people believe are the worst drugs. My motivation to create this thread had nothing to do with Cannabis.
And I do completely agree with you. Way too many drug related threads on my part.
It's just something I've always been interested in, but of course, not everyone is.
I in no way took anything you posted the wrong way. Thank you for the post.

The drugs that exist in this world have a huge impact on us and our surroundings (negative or positive) whether we partake in them or not as individuals. And they're not going anywhere. It's just me but I think the education is lacking and has been for years. That said, people that want the information can find it. I also believe many lives are ruined as a result of it and it doesn't have to be that way.
The8ofCups pretty much stole my list (lol)
1. Alcohol
2. Nicotine
3. Meth
4. Heroine
5. Cocaine/Crack
This is what I think I would have posted in the first thread, but after seeing some input from you guys, I might have to reconsider. Good input all... and thank you

Just for making you look uglier than you are...Meth #3
All the rest of the chemical drugs...#4
Precription drugs that cause you harm...#5
Cannabis...A miracle drug...Why it is illegal in so many places....JUST DUMB.
I know a girl that used Meth every day for a year or so. I would have never guessed it either. She's very attractive, has a good job, and is intelligent. She was able to be do it and still be a productive citizen. She was never jobless or stealing to support her habit. Still... it's a good thing she was able to quit.

With all due respect, masterbation is not a drug.
It can become an addiction, but it's not a drug. A drug is a tangible or gaseous substance that you consume.

Comparing tobacco and alcohol to drugs (crack, heroine, and even marijuana to an extent) is misleading. Tobacco and alcohol will cause more deaths because tens of millions of people in this country use it everyday.
It is like comparing automobile accidents resulting in death to deaths from plane crashes. Plane crashes rarely occur but when they do they cause a helluva lot more damage.

Growing up at country clubs I have been around many that had heavy habits. But these guy's handle their bills so society overlooks them as having problems. A dude on welfare with the same exact habit has problems though.Double standards for sure.
My opinion any drug with a needle is the worst. But you analyze the ones who use needles to get high are lost souls by that point anyway.
I do not care what any "experts" say about drugs. It boils down to us actually admitting we are the ones to CHOOSE what we do.
I have done pretty much everything at one time or another. You know what I found? I was able to do a drug and walk away. Sure, I can see where some could want to continue using but walking away from a pipe can be done. My love is for the ganja and that will always be the case. You can't OD on weed and ANY misconception of weed dangers originated from US political agendas. People with no real life experiences keep all the nonsense alive because they just keep blabbing the same ole BS.
Many say meth is the worst. I will pick this one for example. People say this will get you and you have no control of yourself anymore. Well, lets say we get a .25 or .50 gram and smoke it or whatever today. We would be up all night and we of course think everythings awesome as we are on it. Tomorrow night our bodies are aching from being tensed up and sleep deprivation starts to kick in. It is a feeling of we ran a race and worked out to where we are sore. Sure we could smoke some more crank and kick it through night 2, 3, and beyond like some choose to do. I do not get that? On day two if you have any self control like I do. I just take being sore a little and go to bed the 2nd night. Problem solved!
I never have had any urges to keep doing more. Wake up that day and go about my business as usual. People love to blame drugs because of the ones who we see that only sleep once a week or every couple of weeks. Those are the tweakers that we see in the news.
I am not a meth user but I will from time to time when the time is right. I guess I just know what it can do as a daily user and will not live the life of many I have personally known.
Alcohol is the worst. It's legal so people think it's cool but they think weed is bad? Idiots! but it ruins more lives than anything. I have almost $30K in court related charges from alcohol environments and dealing with drunk idiots. I have never personally experienced anything close to alcohol as far as bad decision making once on it. I truly rarely drink these days unless I am around music and b'itches. I could name 10 guys from my life that can't stop drinking. One almost died in the hospital because he had alcohol withdrawls once admitted for a several day stay. They had to put this dude on an alcohol drip to regulate his body. I did not know that was even posiible.
