Oscar Madison ...Made my Friday night as a kid..

and 20+ years later same dynamic was created with 2 and 1/2 men..

Loved him.

Starred in one of the greatest Twilight Zone episodes (if not one of the greatest scripted TV episodes) of all-time: A Game of Pool.

Felix Unger, the original degenerate.

actually Jack played Oscar Madison in the series. Tony Randall was Felix. BOTH were perfect for their parts. Randall was a "fuss budget" in real life who was into "arty-smarty" things like symphony and opera while Klugman was a true horse and sports betting "degenerate". he even owned a VERY good race horse back in the late 1970's-early 1980's named "Jaklin Klugman"

both were GREAT actors

Ironic (or maybe not given we all will pass) that he actually passes away in the episode and then Jesse must carry on the legacy of champion in the afterlife that Fats Brown escaped. 

I presume he'll have a more restful sleep given that he, nor Jonathan Winters, could play pool at any real competitive level (if you watch most of the shots, they cut away for the 'established' faceless player to shoot.)

The Odd Couple along with the Honeymooners were a  NY Staple and will be for many years to come.

my favorite odd couple episode has to be when they were on Password. you ppl have to catch that.
