ABC, NBC, and CBS are all reporting Obama won the debate!

This can't be true.  I just finished watching the debate on DVR and Tom Brokaw (sp) and NBC said that Mitt was the winner.

NCState, I said in post #6 it was a joke. I posted this before the thing even started.

 And depeche, no they were not going to declare Romney the winner until BHO just crapped out and fell apart live on national TV. That's why they make up those phony poll numbers to make it look like 54% of the people out there are going to vote Obama when it's much closer than that. To try and keep people away from the polls that work for a living because they think Romney would have no shot. But even CNN and NBC had to admit Romney crushed him last last night, lest they lose all credibility after learning that the public witnessed a beating.

I really feel Obama will do much better in the second debate when his staff tells him to press Romney for more details on jobs policy and tax policy. I predict Romney will do the same sidestepping he has in past interviews, and BHO will look much better, and the odds will shift again that very night.

I figure Obama will eventually win this thing, having an edge of about 2-3% over Romney, and if he wins Ohio - I think he will - then he'll have a decent edge in electoral votes. So I'm sticking with my original wager on BHO and adding to it with the odds dropping back closer to last spring's price.

Obama was called out on his campaign trail of lies. Failed rule that you always look into camera or at the opponent not avert your gaze as though caught in a mistruth. And his words lacked any ring of truth. Romney refuted with facts and vigour looking younger and more vital than the President. He sounded positively impatient to meet the "day after the election" with both Democrats and Republicans to "start working together" to fix this mess. Obama had no answer why he has accomplished so little in four years after promising so much and being given the political majority to do so.

Absolutely correct. This is the same as the Heisman race last season.

Everyone tried to build it up being a tossup between RG3 and Andrew Luck.

Then I saw the vegas odds that were something in the -2000 range or higher and realized ESPN and the media were just doing their job and trying to make it exciting. Luck had absolutely no chance.

P.S. I thought Romney looked like he had too many cups of coffee and that it was way past his bedtime.
