Wedding anniversary coming up (4th year). Looking to take wifey to NYC for a show and dinner. Will spend the night in hotel after a show. Never been to Broadway but we all know about Lion King. Just wondering if anyone had recommendations for a show and anything else we should look at doing during our day out there. Thanks in advance

First time to a Broadway show? If so I guess I would go traditional and go with Phantom of the Opera. She will recognize and love the music and the acting is always top notch. I have seen it three times on Broadway and once in London and always great. I took the wife to Rent years ago and she was disappointed compared to Phantom. Remember it is the longest running show for a reason. Have a great time!

i'd go lion king over phantom of the opera if you want to go the classic route. I think lion kings been around long enough to be considered a classic at this point

You just missed out - Mike Tyson's "The Undisputed Truth" had a 12 day run, it was unbelievable. Best entertainment I have ever seen (better than any movie/sporting event, etc.). If it ever comes back I recommend it. But "Rent" was also decent for the value ($50 tickets in times square). GL, enjoy.
