#1 Posted: 8/1/2012 5:37:20 PM Been 25 years I've been afraid of peanuts and all nuts...got tested a couple months ago and Doctor says I'm clear to eat peanuts, but all other nuts will be bad news.
So lately I've been enjoying the salted peanuts out of the shell. The jar of unshelled I haven't enjoyed as much...maybe the "work" you gotta do to crack the shell makes it worth while. Just bought some JIF creamy and had it on toast and it was alright. Candy that I've tried so far was a snickers (over hyped imo), baby ruth and butterfinger (both pretty good!)
So just curious to see hear what's out there, and what are somethings I've been missing out on. Special K bars are on my list! I haven't gotten used to the peanut butter taste yet though. |

#12 Posted: 8/1/2012 9:07:08 PM You are very fortunate.
Because an allergy to peanuts is very rarely lost.
Lucky you.

That would be me! Actually had my tonsils taken out a couple months ago and it's cured my snoring. I can only imagine it helped with my breathing as well. Doc said my tonsils were GINORMOUS! |

#15 Posted: 8/2/2012 9:44:09 AM Reeses peanut butter cup is on my list of things I need to try yet! Trying to eat healthier these days and going to the store loading up on peanuts butter candies isn't on the list, so trying one here and there is the plan.
Being afraid of peanut butter my whole life, the smell alone is something that's hard to overcome. I had a peanut butter/jelly on toast the other day and my heart feels like it's beating faster, almost like I'm getting a high of some sort. Just my mind playing tricks on me! |

#16 Posted: 8/2/2012 12:31:29 PM Nice. Fresh salted peanuts in the shell are something beautiful.
The rest of the nuts can fuk off anyway. Cashews and almonds are alright, but they ain't got garbage on peanuts. |

#20 Posted: 8/8/2012 12:07:46 AM Had a reeses peanut butter cup today...wasn't a fan of it. Still not getting used to the peanut butter aspect of things I guess. Shelled peanuts are still on top, as far as candy bars go...salted nut roll and baby ruth are tops.

#22 Posted: 8/8/2012 4:24:48 PM You're eating the domestic garbage if the only PB you have is JIF. Try some fresh-ground in WholeFoods or some other natural PB with the oil separated. Don't eat that garbage with the palm/coconut oil added, that will kill you. |
